stan jr
Lookin at this result a little closer have to say its very harsh on poole, how often do you score 47 Points at home and still lose ? All there team scored how you would expect possibly magic could of added a little more and they still come away with nothing, dont think they should blame riders and look for whos fault it was more just except sometimes in sport you lose no matter what your team does.
barrow boy
Our win against Lakeside thanks to the T/R didn't remain dull which it would have done without it. Same for Coventry and to an extent also Brum v Eastie last night where Eastbourne's T/R's kept the meeting alive right up to heat 15 It's one of the best rules in speedway. The only stupid part is the home teams using it. The double points tactical ride facility was presumably introduced to keep the scores closer and therefore maintain more interest for as long as possible but sometimes teams taking advantage of this wins. This is fine, but I do not think they should gain maximum league match points as a result. If, by deducting the additional race points gained, which in this case is 5, the result would have been a 47-43 win for Poole, then they deserve a losing team's point with Coventry being given 2 and not the full 3. g13webb
There will always be those For and Against with any rules. Like it has been said, they introduce the TR for a reason, and like it or not they are the rules of the league. This has not been the only time that results have gone to the team using these rules. Winning at Lakeside last week wasn't lessoned because we use the TR. Many times at the NA we have been way ahead only for the opposition to come back into the match because of the TR. Whether we like it or not it serves a purpose. I don't remember Poole moaning when they use it to stay in contention playing Swindon in the Play-offs. No-one likes it but every team uses it......... Part of the game.....
Pirates Of Poole
Well done to the Bees last night. Have to say Hanson looks a great signing, smooth and fast. Lets hope we can get back on track for the rest of the week and gear up for a massive match against KL next Wednesday. People complain about the TR rule but it has worked for us on many occasions and sometimes against, they are the rules. home straight
Big congratulations to the Bees on their victory last night! As always it's galling to lose at home to the bees, especially when there are tacticals involved, but it's worked in our favour plenty of times, so we can't complain, and in any case, the bees still had to go out and win races in the final third of the meeting, which they did, so fair play to them! Hansen and Garity impressed me for the Bees, Shamek and Josh for the Pirates. Some decent racing, good company, wrong result. As the great Philosopher Meatloaf once said "two out of three ain't bad"
LagutaRacingFan
Hansen is similar to MJJ in the way he glides around the Poole track.

lionheart
People will take it for what it is and enjoy it. It's only really Bees fans that have cause to truly despise Ford which was why there were so few of us there last night. We're well aware that only one team runs the League and they will prevail, by hook or by crook, come playoff time. Why only Bees fans ? Many fair-minded fans of other clubs have an intense dislike of the manner in which Fraud has manipulated the sport over the last few seasons. One highlight was the disgraceful meeting at Belle Vue at the end of last season, but there have been other instances of Frauds skulduggery
SteveLyric2
Amazing meeting. Just back home and so, so glad I went. Nights like this are few and far between. What top class entertainment, nearly every race full of incident and overtaking. Main reason I went down was that I enjoyed the A fixture so much on Sky. This one knocked the socks off it. Credit to the Pirates fans who were so generous with their applause for the Bees (Andersen booing at the end notwithstanding)... Tonight reaffirmed my faith in speedway after some dreadfully dull meetings at Brandon. Are you sure you were at Wimborne Road Speedy?? You know Poole never has decent racing , no overtaking and a c**p track!!!! It was a good meeting and glad you enjoyed it!! Keep spreading the word....!

krompa
This Bees team have plenty of potential. Can you imagine Harris back to speed finally one day and Fisher/Serjeant duo having 'normal night'? That would be something like 40-50. They do great in away matches this year and home form will improve I'm sure.
waiheke1
Harris scored ss expected. Fisher youd only expect to score a couple at poole. Sergeant maybe three. So msybe 5 extra, but then they wouldnt have used the tr. And if ward hadnt fallen, or magic performed better, poole would have scored more. BWitcher
I can't think of any other sport that needs anything equivalent to speedways TR rule to make it more exciting. Meetings that are dull and one -sided stay dull and one sided even when the TR is used. The. TR doesn't change the quality of the racing one iota. Should be a straight 3,2,1,0 scoring system all the time ad far as I am concerned. I don't see why a team that scores most points on the track should be defeated by the rule book, although that is not meant as a dig at Coventry. Overall I think the TR is a ridiculous rule, as do many fans. Awww.. spinning the Jon Cook woe is me record. The TR can have a massive impact upon the racing. It can lift the spirits of the away team and give them momentum in the meeting, which results in more effort and better racing. I've seen it many times. Or you can do away with it and have the losing team give up 5 or 6 heats in and go through the motions.

Tonight reaffirmed my faith in speedway after some dreadfully dull meetings at Brandon. Firstly can I thank Dorset Delight and Jamie, Home Straight and Mrs HS for their company last night. What a night! We went, fully expecting to lose and lose big and at one stage we were. Then it all went a bit weird lol. I could hardly believe we pulled it back like we did. Ok, it was helped by the tacs , but Poole took their eye off the ball and let us win! We've been on the receiving end of them too and I've gone home fuming just like DD and HS did last night .. Seriously though, it was actually my first visit to Poole and I really enjoyed it. The stadium is good, the track was fab, good facilities, good company... We were approached be several Poole fans after the meeting, including Starman that were so gracious and said that we deserved to win! Yes it's true, he said it!! I'm so glad we went, if Bees fans are really boycotting Poole, then all I can say is, it was your loss! Poole, see you in the play offs Edit, I forgot to mention Kenneth Hansen. without doubt MOM, brilliant to watch last night! We honestly questioned Havvy for putting him on the black and white, lordy, he shoved that right down our throats!
