Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 21/5/2014

Recommended Posts

Well that wasnt part of the plan, couple of tac rides and a 5-1 and everthing changes, well done to coventry on a great comeback but the next time poole usetac rides we wll no doubt get the old we only won because of tac rides. I like tac rides myself but alot dont and whenthey work against you its disappointing although I expect alot of. fans like them tonight! The only bright side is that it isnt vital at this end of the season.

Well what can you say. Poole let that one slip. 12 pts up and to lose the meeting is disappointing to say the least. Fair play to the Bees they came back well and deserved the win. If they can replace Fisher could be potential play off finalists.

As far as Gavan et al are concerned, he who laughs last laughs loudest, just remember boys this is a qualification for the play offs, you only have to finish 4th.

Positive note from the meeting was Darcys form. Absolute dynamite and a pleasure to watch.

least you had the balls to come on here and congratulate Coventry and say it was deserved fair play to you for that. And you are quite correct long way to go and Poole will be there or therebouts. The form of Magic must be a worry. Magic and Milik/Josh out for Holder and one other?

Dont have the averages in front of me, but I think the only way to get holder in for magic would involve two three pointers at second string.

If poole strengthen it will be by replacing milik and/or josh g when their averages get high enough imho.

Really? Thought most had Poole as favourites pre season. Which was wrong of course. :t:

Think most had kl top in tge league, though more may have tipped poole to win the play offs

Poole could replace Milk for THJ or maybe Walasek.

Again you know nothing............Milik is not a weak link.............and the others averages would be too high.........as I said on a different thread stay out of what Poole should be doing in your eyes and go sort your own team out............

Well done to Coventry on their win............my view is so what if we lost..........there is a long way to go before the play offs and it could be anybody in them if the results keep throwing a few curve balls..............

Well well well, blow my chopper.

Nobody but nobody had seen that coming.

Huge Congrates to the Bees, simply a superb result.

Just the first of many home defeats to come for Poole. That team just ain't good enough.......well done Coventry really wanted it more than Poole..........Must be time to get rid of Janowski, he was pants again, he's not even scoring well at home let alone away!!!!!!!

KKS is in full cry tonight, I see! No surprise to me, this was always going to be Coventry's to lose! Fantastic result! Poor Matt Ford, getting beat at home by Coventry of all teams! Lol! :t:

Didn't want Swindon to feel all alone by losing at home to Coventry :t:

Two thoughts spring to mind. 1. A win like this could kick start a good season. Out of Harris and Fisher my concern is with the former. Fisher is a second string and will improve in teh position. Harris seems on a very big slide and getting humiiated in the GPs isn't going to improve him If I was Mick Horton I'd tell him that the GPs are a waste of time and energy for him and that concentrating on the Elite could extend his career at this level for a little while yet. Carry on with the GPs and this season could be your last riding with the top riders. 2. Despite Gavan and my own delight at any match where the Bees put the Pirates noses out of joint, it makes me feel sad that the rivalry between the clubs is in jeopardy with the current situation at Brandon. Big rivalries puts bums on seats at both clubs. Here's hoping that Bees v Pirates can contnue in this vein for many years to come!

Why wrong ? Going on previous years form there is no trick or rule bending that Lord Fraud will not stoop to, to get what he wants. Win at any price is the watchword

No one is disputing what Poole will do come play off time.

On paper they aren't the strongest side at the season start.

The big number 3 on Fishers back makes him a heatleader.

Harris rides with a heatleader in every one of his heats. He rides against second strings twice. This means he's going to struggle to score points, whoever rides at 5 will find it harder. Almost every rider riding at #5 this season is "struggling". Weirdly Piotr Pawlicki seems to have taken to it though! Put him at 1 or 3 and he'd be scoring another point or two each meeting giving him a 7.5 average.

Probably because Piotr is a proper heat leader in waiting.

Not like me to speak up for Poole but those Poole fans who have posted so far have taken the defeat with remarkably good grace considering they were robbed by the ridiculous TR rule which makes a mockery of the league as a sensible or fair competition. That said, Cov's fight back shows they are a better calibre side than most people have been giving them credit for and that ability to dig deep when the chips are down is what turn teams into champions. The race for play-off places is wide open.
