Falcon Hammer
Good call from the referee. Lambert making no attempt to race. heading the wrong way off the track. Lambert put his front wheel outside the track
Al Stewart
I would have said the referee was wrong BUT here's what the rule 15.4 says: During a Heat the Referee may order the disqualification of a Rider, who must withdraw immediately from the course, but still allow the Heat to continue; this may include when (a) both wheels of the motorcycle cross the inner edge of the track unless such action is for another Rider’s safety or due to another Rider’s unfair action, ( a Rider receives outside assistance, including communication to/from the Pits, 3rd party physical contact with the motorcycle or Rider regardless of whether it assists the Rider or not and © a Rider is lapped. So I think the outside assistance came from the pits as opposed to the usual thing of someone on the centre green.

theblueboy
What is Lambert's thought process there? Schoolboy error of the highest order.

KEITH M
Well now i know the rule all fans of the opposition should shout at the rider to push if he packs up

Speedy swindon pete
If you're too thick to realise that you're in a 3 rider race and head for the pits after 3 laps...you don't deserve the point.
marko
Lynn can always appeal if they want just like Lakeside have over the loss of a point at Leicester! Not buying the weather as a excuse for the poor track, why not just put some water down later? i tell you why, because there is so little dirt on it it would make it slippery. Same old Lakeside, everytime sky come into town they make its so rotten, last couple of meetings its been much better than this, Lewis is back to square one trying hard but going backwards. Massive own goal once again by the home promotion, your not going to get newbies coming to watch this rubbish!
Catabracadabra
Good call by ref, and anyway if he was having engine failure how did he manage to pull a wheelie going over the finish line. No attempt to race springs to mind even though he was guaranteed a point. all he had to do is finish and do four laps
Grachan
Good decision from the ref then. Rob Lyons admitted he didn't know the rule.

tellboy
Yes it is in the rulebook so it looks like we won't see a rider pushing again.Because as soon as a rider packs up the fans will always shout for them to get pushing before they have even got off the bike.Afterall the fans are an outside influence. Steve0
Except the rulebook doesn't say anything about fans. The ref also said he didn't know who influenced him - so how does he know it wasn't a fan?

bigcatdiary
The ref also said he didn't know who influenced him - so how does he know it wasn't a fan? Because the rulebook says " including communication to and from the pits" And that's what Lawrence said.
