marko
Whether Adam stayed down or not (although i think he did) no one can ever prove it, ive seen some really lame looking falls in the past where riders have still hurt themselves to the point they need medical attention, there was one case many many seasons ago at Arena Essex where the ref excluded a rider and was going fine him for staying down when the poor sod had actually broken his leg, cant for the life of me remember the kids name but yet i recall he wore blue and white leathers, i will have to look it up but i think the ref was Chris Gay. Â Whether the nature of the staying down is intentional or not the ref can award it if he feels no change in the order is likely, lets be honest they could have raced heat 14 over 12 laps, there is no way on that poor excuse of a track Lewis was going to get past anyone. semion
Kevin Jolly (Ippo) was the one i remember in an Old Farm Derby v Lynn.
marko
Whilst it was entertaining I would take issue with you that it was good racing, it was awful on a super slick track and if you missed the gate you lost. Watching Watt chase Lambert for 4 laps confirmed that. Â The other talking points was their didn't look more than a few hundred watching and clearly niether of the team managers knew the rules. Â I would not normally agree with you BCD but you are spot on as far as last night was concerned, the track was far slicker than it has been or needed to be, no excuses. Â RE the crowd, yes it looked poor on tv and whilst i was not there having regular knowledge of the lay of the land there i would guess maybe 500-600 tops, doesnt surprise me one bit, people who go to lakeside are seldom local to the Arena, petrol costs money so why pay for that when its on the telly, no special effort at all to advertise this meeting or encourage people to go, build it and they will come? ermmm no! stevebrum
Whether Adam stayed down or not (although i think he did) no one can ever prove it, Â He did stay down, it was a deliberate act.
g13webb
WHAT A TEAM! Â WHAT A PERFORMANCE!! Â WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE!!! Â (off to lie down now). Â I think it be best if you go for a laydown. Don't want you getting too excited. It was only a battle, we still have the war to win.
semion
I also remember that meeting at Kings Lynn. If memory serves me right got chased out of the stadium that night. Â As I recall Lynn were on a 5-1 to win the meeting in heat 13 Jolly dropped it, was thrown out of the race. Louis won the rerun for a 3-3 and Ipswich won the meeting. Then a few years later who did Lynn sign..... Kevin Jolly.
Damo b
What does anyone think of Lambert pulling a wheelie across the line after his mistake? Seems a strange thing to do, it's like celebrating a free kick, by running over to the crowd, like you had just scored a goal? Perhaps it was done out of embarrassment ? I know he's only 16 but it seemed a bit of an odd one....
blueherb777
Cook says Lakeside are going to change riding order next meeting to see if that works - if not change riders. Â Change riders it is then .
SCB
Got to laugh at all the complaining about Ellis lying on the floor yet nobody has said anything about Darren Mallett doing it. Probably because he's rubbish and nobody cares about him.
dump that clutch
No. The point I am saying is Bridger could of passed Kerr as there was still 2 laps of the race to be completed. very true but unlikely, however, as Ellis was cheating why re-run it to give Bridger another chance...? I suppose we would have found out if Ellis had got off his lazy arse and got off the track. Ref called it right.
Guest GiveusaB
So, 1 of Britains promising young riders is a 'CHEAT' ! And then we have another one who's as thick as a plank ! LOL Great refereeing....well done! Cant believe that a Sky presenter was willing to promote cheating??? Tatum should be ashamed of himself! Â Same old cockneys, always cheating! Got to laugh at all the complaining about Ellis lying on the floor yet nobody has said anything about Darren Mallett doing it. Probably because he's rubbish and nobody cares about him. Mallet was stuck under the air fence, or did you turn a blind eye to that ?

semion
Refs should have the power to fine riders if they think they are guilty of simulation. I would guess that might put a stop to it.
graz gp
I think all speedway fan new what happened in ht14. Well done the ref.
g13webb
Karlsson and Watt are really poor look at this for example visiting No.1s around the raceway this year Andersen 17 out of 18, Iversen 21 point MAX and Kildemand 13 out of 15 and 16 out of 18. It is obvious changes need to be made at Lakeside  Never let it be said that I run Karlsson down, but I have to agree that I believe it wrong, that he should be riding as a No1 for any team. He has been a wonderful ambassador for our sport for many years, and no doubt can still help many of the young riders now coming through. but a No 1 he is not.  Davey Watt is different. I believe he could go in any team and score points. Although not of the class of Niels, Darcy, Woffy, Zager or PK, he is better than some teams have on offer. You only have to look back to last weeks Pairs Meeting to see him at his best.. No I think Watts is one of the good things about Lakeside team...... SCB
Mallet was stuck under the air fence, or did you turn a blind eye to that ? Yeah right. So stuck that as soon as the light come on he was up. He "played the game" as much as Ellis.
foreverblue
Whatever way you look at it, justice was done as Kings Lynn won and deserved too overall, they are currently the form team and will take some beating whoever they face. I would like to point out that we have only just started the season and as a Poole fan i know the play offs are not decided in may. Lakeside have the makings of a good team and it was a shock how they capitulated in the latter stages, Iversen was unbeatable but Schlein should not be able to beat PK as easily as he did in heat 15.It is beginning to look like PK is on a downward slope, PK will always be a favourite of mine but it seems unlike Hancock Age has caught up with him.
