Star Fever
I should have more faith in my team, feel a little ashamed for doubting them. Well done Stars You and me both!! What an absolutely awesome performance. I was over the moon after ht14 when we'd guaranteed an unlikely point - but to win it and get all 3 ??? Custom House Kid
Worst track at lakeside all season very poor that is taking nothing away from Lynn who deserved all the points.

Speedball
Still cannot believe that result. Didn't even think a point was likely, never mind a win. Very proud of the boys tonight. Massive well done to Robert Lambert. Unfortunately his night will be remembered by most for his schoolboy error but 7+1 on his first visit was some return and that 5-1 with Puk turned the meeting our way again. For what it's worth, thought the ref got both decisions spot on. Just glad for Robert that it didn't cost us point like I feared it might do.
Custom House Kid
Would it be wrong of me to say it's the best I've ever seen it If you enjoy out of the tapes racing and little passing then no! But I am sure you are used to better at Lynn. and I am normally the 1st one to defend the track . Tricky day due to the weather I would suggest but when the cameras are at lakeside we never get a normal track IMHO. Lambert was impressive and NKI in a class of his own. Bech has flattered to deceive early season and needs a kick up the ass IMHO.
Royal Box
Went more in hope than expectation. What a win. So proud of the Stars. I recall Jon cook laughing down the mic a couple of years ago when lakeside put 60 plus on the board. Nice to hear mr Chuckles eating humble pie tonight for once after being beat so often down here. Credit to him he was a very gracious loser. Also the hammer fans next to me agreed 100% with the awarded race decision. Fair fans and great meeting. The hotel bar Stella tastes very sweet. Bring on the pirates !
hagonshocker
Tatum mugged himself right off tonight.....should be up for a Talksport heads gone award...thats if Talksport gave a crap about Speedway obviously....his obvious bias towards 'Arena Essex' reared it's ugly head tonight... quite unbelievable attitude but justice was well and truly done with the KL victory...how good was Lambert? Plus how disrespectful to allude the slick track played into KL hands?....hardly a team of boring trappers who ride on a slick as hell frying pan every week...that's Lakeside's forte.....
speedwaysliders
Blimey ref Jim Lawence can talk,he should be an after dinner speeker!!!! knowone can get a word in,neil v just gave up!!! Going back to the lambert not completd the course(nothing wrong with his engine, seat bracket broke!!),i think the ref was also grately influenced by the tractor coming onto the track which was wrong because Lambert was still entitled to complete the race at full speed, but it looked dangerous to me with the tractor starting to go round. As for communication with the pits lambert must have good hearing over the tractor, fans, and annoucer to contend with!!! I think you will find Lakeside fans will never attribute Bias thrown our way by Mr Tatum much the reverse in fact Also the track was poor admittedly both teams had to ride it and Kings Lynn looked much the stronger side across the board.
speedwaysliders
Anyone else think the King lynn team manager didnt want to use the tactical with NKI?!!!Stupid rule or not if its there to use,use it.I know jon cook hates it and says he would concider not using it,maybe lyon thought he had a gentlemans agreement with him,as if to say "i want use it if you dont" bizare!! FAST GATER
That was quite sad watching PK tonight & maybe just one season to many as he now reminds me of watching Sam Ermolenko when he went on for too long as well. A little harsh IMO on at least two occasions he compromised himself trying to protect his team mate and young Bech demonstated that there was little passing to be done on the track tonight. It was the mechanic sprinting down the Tarmac waving his arms and pointing towards the finishing line that was the subtle hint for Robert to head that way.

Still a moot point I think. You could argue that Robert was dissuaded from continuing for the point BECAUSE the tractor was on the move, and only continued because he was ecouraged to do so by fans/pit crew/ whoever...? I think you will find it was Lynford Christy running down the banger track waving his arms about like a windmill and pointing to turn round and carry on that made the difference and had the Lakeside riders not passed him through the gate he would have already been in the pits! The tractor was also greatly influenced by our lads heading down the banger track being followed by the young lad. Nothing mute about it good call. Bryce
Disspointing night on several fronts tonight. The utter lack of atmosphere caused by the low turnout was noticeable. I appreciate that's down to the match being on TV. What's not excusable is the continued throwing away of league points. I don't know what the answers are, but something has to change if we're serious about a title challenge. As for the tactical ride points, well what can I say? Maybe they should make the tactical rider wear a jester's hat on top of his helmet, as befits the JOKE rule. In the end, despite all our shortcomings, if this rule did not exist we WOULD have won. At the end of the season Kings Lynn will have 2 additional points in the table, and we'll have 2 less, as a direct result of this ridiculous rule. That may prove crucial. This isn't sour grapes, I genuinely despise this rule. Congrats to the Stars for a good battling performance, and a tip of the hat to Niels Kristian Iversen for one of the most dominant performances ever seen at the Raceway.

For away fans the tactical ride gives some assurance that their team can make a meeting competitive enough to warrant spending £17 plus travel to attend. Tonight it kept the meeting close and exciting. For home fans it's always unwelcome, but is a fair counter balance to home track advantage. Where it's unfair in my opinion is where the home team gets to use it.

I think that's what erks some!

If there wasn't the TR rule then Lynn would've had a TS in heat 8 maybe and another in heat 10 or 13 if the old tactical substitute rules still applied, so its likely Lynn would STILL have won. Personally, I despised the old TS rule as it could be used with only a 6 point difference and used any number of times. At least with the TR the gap is 10 or 12 and can only be used twice.
