Peterborough V Scunthorpe - Tuesday 20th May 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Neil: Will fisher have time on Mon to get from PL meeting to Coventry for 7.30pm meeting or will Peterborough be using a guest for him?

Around 118 miles between the two stadiums and roughly two hours travelling time. I suppose he could do it if there are no hold ups at Scunthorpe.

sounds like it's not just posters on here that have lost interest by what I,m told not many have turned up tonight my friend tells me 400 - hope that figure is wrong cus speedway won't carry on with crowds like that - as I've said many times Tuesday is the wrong race night .

Maybe, maybe not but that's far to simplistic. If that's the crowd, and I suspect that figure is wrong, then it can't be a surprise. Frost's crowds were dire at the start of last season and Horton had the same issues during his previous tenure, both not Tuesday. It's the product that gets people in although promoters generally don't seem to get that bit as the 2014 EL shows.

now now kks you should look a bit closer at stats drymls away average is higher than fishers and blowing your engine on start line doesn't count as a poor ride

Depends whether it suits the argument you are trying to put forward but of course blowing an engine on the start line is hardly a poor ride in any sane persons mind

Very good meeting last night, exciting racing by Scunny to get back into it. Have to say Jørgensens ride around Dryml & Ulrich was pretty hair raising, then Douglas did it on the last bend too. Scunny impressed me last night, the last meeting I saw them they were poor. I was also impressed by the activity in the pits by Scunny me mechanics, they seemed to be rallying around helping each other out. Good team spirit.

The crowd was 800 at least, a lot of fans were on the first bend, so the stand wasn't as full as normal.

you must have been at a different meeting to me and didnt think anywhere near 800,which is a worry as the racing is brilliant, for me you can forget all this racing around pokey little trick tracks and the myth of learning throttle control, tracks like the Show ground produce the best racing-- great entertainment

was a bit gate and go to start with with no drive on outside but i thought the meeting really came alive and some of the passing was quite brilliant, heat 9 was outstanding

Quite what Fisher was trying to do on last bend of ht 13 i have no idea,Douglas a lucky lad to escape from that,as was Fisher

I like the Fish, hard as mails but that was a bit naughty i thought

This fixture is far from over, set up nice for Monday

I was told after the meeting that DOUGLAS declined heat 15 when he realised Fish was in it for Panthers

Fisher will be doing the meeting at the Panthers, Coventry's season is over so there's no need for them to have priority over Fisher.

get a dictionary and look up the word .. priority.. it means what is says on the tin. coventry have the 1st option on ryan, so looks like ryan will be riding for coventry .coventrys season over already is it..lying6th out of 10 and we are only in may.. where as p/boro are lying 9th out of 13.. so looks like both teams seasons are over because they are both 4 places off the bottom in their respective leagues. i am sure workington can help you out of the league cup and then you can get back into the land of the faries..

Yes me to - was surprised when Heat 15 riders were announced and he was not included!

When was that, must have missed it, still got a blank programme as it was dark so I put mine away.

Stevie Worrall managed to get to Swindon last bank holiday Monday. I think its more a case of will Coventry let him.

he's a cards ain't he!

Which playing card? Are you calling FP a joker or a queen? :o:D

All the best

Rob

Ryan plans to ride in both meetings.

Should be perfectly possible, although he wants to take the A46 route, rather then heading straight for the M18/M1. Much less likely to block.

All the best

Rob

I use less letters and don't think there's a card with that name :)
