Scunthorpe V Glasgow 16th May

Recommended Posts

Wolbert when he had a go was quite brilliant to watch tonight...4 laps hanging off the fence and got his rewards!!

Can say the same about Rusty Harrison.. his never say die attitude was great to watch. Fantastic performance from The Scorpions though, they did everything that was asked of them. So many positives tonight..David Howe, superb full maximum... Nicolai Klindt was excellent, just showed what Scunnys missed since Mellgren got injured.. Ryan Douglas continues to impress... All the other Scorpions all chipped in too... Felt a tad sorry for Josh Auty, his riding certainly deserved more than his measly 4+1 return would suggest. Shame that Glasgow had to field a weakened team though. At full strength they would've made the score line slightly closer. Despite that..it was a decent meeting with some decent riding from both teams.

A real shame that Glasgow didn't have a full team - it would have been a really tight and interesting meeting.

Credit to Wolbert and Harrison who pulled off some exciting moves to give the travelling fans something to cheer.

Some easy points for the Scorpions but the value of the seven man team was self evident. Klindt looks full of confidence - as he should do after his performance in the Danish Final !

So good to hear Kevin and Rusty impressed.

It' would be easy as someone not there and only having Kevin's recent Ashfield performances to go by to think that it was same old, same old.
