Edinburgh Vs Ipswich (pl) 16/5/2014

Recommended Posts

I think most of the Ippo team can ride the Dale very well.

Just needs the likes of Heeps to get his form back and for Ellis to fill his boots again and we could be in for a surprise.

Ippo are not Glasgow!!

If you look at the scores from other teams at Edinburgh , Glasgow did very well getting 38 points . I doubt very much if Ippo will get 38 at Edinburgh

Apologies.

I see how that must read.

How was it meant to read off course Ippo are not Glasgow no s**t sherlock but why the need to again have a go at Glasgow when this thread has nothing to do with Glasgow.

Edinburgh are having a wonderful start to the season would it not be more constructive to big up that rather than to have another cheap shot at us, if the comment was not meant to be derogatory why feel the need to apologise.

We all give and take banter between us but most off us appreciate how well the Monarchs have started the season and as some off your fellow Monarchs have pointed out were not as bad as some would have you think in-fact we are one change away in my opinion off being a very useful team so the snide comment's are pretty tiresome and let's be honest are they really needed ?.

No-one's asking you to apologise are they?

And yes I am a Monarchs supporter albeit exiled in Essex (not far from Ippo!!).

Anyway to get back to the point, my intention (if you read my original post in the thread) was not to belittle Glasgow particularly but to point out that Ippo are actually quite a good team despite some of the results they have had so far.

I put them down as having a decent chance of actually winning on Friday.

And that to me would be a nightmare situation.

I wouldn't say that if Glasgow were about to visit.

Yes Edinburgh have had an amazing start to the season but I think there are 2 or 3 teams who have better balanced teams.

Glasgow have sympathy because of their injury situation but I don't rate them as strong as Ippo.

The apology bit was tongue in cheek hence the smiley you off course have your opinion but they were plenty other team's that you could have referred to but the usual dig at Glasgow could not be resisted.

I could get involved in a flame war but being from Smugsville, obviously I don't do such things so I won't bother!!

Of course if you look at my first comment you will see a couple of!! at the end. In the absence of smileys on my phone these were meant to denote banter.

Obviously wasted!!

See the banter bit i like alway's enjoy the banter on here it is the sly digs from the east that is very patronising but think we both have made our point anyway as far as Ipswich are concerned i think they could break the 40 point barrier as they do look a half decent outfit on paper.

Ritchie H gas just taken a bit of a tumble in heat 12 at Foxhall.

Up and OK but you never know what old injury may flare up overnight! wink

So Hawkins takes a Klinsmann at Ipswich, probably leading to a required 24hr rest from broken fingernail surgery, miraculously returning for the trip to Shielfield on Saturday?

I saw Ipswich at Somerset a couple of weeks ago, expecting it to be quite a close entertaining meeting - but what I saw, was truly unbelievable... Somerset weren't that good... Ipswich were one of the worst teams I'd seen on the night in all my years of going to speedway... However, they're not as bad a team as they were at the OTA that night. All being said, I don't see Ipswich leaving the Dale tonight with any points but I'm expecting them to give a decent account of themselves... High 30's i'd be predicting... Somewhere around 54-39 I'd go for this evening.

A really good performance from the Witches last night should have rebuilt a little confidence and belief.

I think it will take something unusual to happen for the Monarchs to drop any points today or in any home match this season in fact.

If we can get within 12 I think it would be a decent effort.

As far as I know Ritchie H will be on his way but theres still 7 hours for things to change!!

Think this will be a home win making it 12 in a row, must say that's a magnificent achievement and just goes to show how a team can be put together to

win the league. But never say never it was a good all round team performance last night and a repeat of that will push Edinburgh hard.

Why is Hawkins not liked at Edinburgh ?

It's hinted at that he never arrives there for some reason. Be interested to see if he does turn up.

I don't see Ipswich even getting slightly close. Maybe another away meeting where we don't win a single race. I'm certainly not fooled by last night's performance against a terrible panthers team effort.

OOPS A DAISY... :D
