XTC38L
The final should have been all four back given the importance of the race and the meeting. Morris was given no option but to head for the fence. Had it been bends 3-4 fair enough. Same applies had it been the other way round..Morris had plenty of options. When he didn't get over fricke at the start he could have cut back to the inside. He chose to try and blast around the outside and ran out of room.
Mr Blobby
I am not saying anything about the exclusion although if it was 50/50 then all 4 back is normally the call. What I find an absolute disgrace, and don't care what I get called, Monarchs were NOT deserved winners. Simply the reason why: speedway is a RACING sport and that is what they did not do in the re- run. Masters signalling to Fricke to slow down is a disgrace. Unportsmanship almost rubbing it in us Rebels faces. Maybe thats because almost fenced himself on bend 4. Sam had every right to tell his partner to calm down a little

Young51
i don't say this very often (if at all lol) but Jimmy Mc got the decision spot on in the final my bitter-loving Southern friends Fantastic race meeting as once again the Premier league pisses over the so called Elite league on tv again.. fantastic and much deserved win by Sam & Max.Well done the lads in Blue & Gold
akbk
Can't see what all the fuss is about. Morris could have shut off exiting bend one and stayed on but his failure to do so meant he ran out of room and fell. Hence excluded.

Blackadder
If the technically correct decision was to exclude Morris in the final then the technically correct decision in the re-run is to exclude Sam Masters for not racing. For a few seconds in the rerun, I was thinking that if the Monarchs aren't careful, they could both end up being disqualified for not trying. Not too many spaces left in the coffin for more nails. Chris Hutcheson
theres actually no such rule as 'first bend bunching' at all only an unsatisfactory start. Don't think exiting the second bend is the start though. So it doesn't fit as an unsatisfactory start, can't have all four back.

That's a bit like saying in soccer the referee should not send anyone off in a cup final. The only thing that is wrong is that there is no consistency by referees.

Goodiepatchie
must say seeing Tatum raging that the Rebels didn't win was the icing on the cakenearly as good as when he didn't win the fours for arena on 2002 in front of the sky cameras
SomersetBlue
Maybe thats because almost fenced himself on bend 4. Sam had every right to tell his partner to calm down a little I pay to go watch racing, Monarchs pair did not do that from the start of the re-run. Allen was miles ahead. I'm sorry, no bias about this honest, but the Monarchs pair were unsportsmanlike I would say the same on the other foot. I don't think any fan would like to see their team not try?? If Monarchs had won fair and square then I would say fait dues but. I feel robbed out my pocket to be honest.
Shale Searcher
As has been said already, no such rule as first bend bunching, only rule close to that is the unsatisfactory start, just how far away from the tapes that can be stretched is the grey area.... 30 yards? Maybe 40 yards, by then you're into the first corner and that's about as far as it should be applied.. After that, someone has to be the cause of the race being stopped.. To not exclude someone in the final race tonight would have been totally disregarding the rule book and to an outsider/newcomer would have made Speedway look totally unprofessional, and frankly a name we give it 24/7 ourselves usually "MICKEY MOUSE" The correct decision, as per the rules was made in that heat, the scoring system created the "NO WIN SCENARIO" in the Final....

Don't know what you expected us to do full throttle round the boards putting everything on the line to try and pass Allen even though there was no need for them to do that as all they had to do was complete the race in which they did. If the shoe was on the other foot i don't think you would be saying anything about this at all.
DavyH
have any other team rode for a 3-3? or let the B&W helmet through for double points? I have to ask about the B&W helmet cos obviously the Monarchs don't have any this year lol
Young51
Nothing like being biased... I'd have been gutted if it was t'other way round..but It was the correct decision and the only decision he could make. Was he supposed to say 'oh,i'll forget all about the rule book and let him back in the race because it will upset the crowd and make lousy television if i do disqualify him'?!Nah i don't think so Starman and i suspect some of the bitter guff by some people on here know that in their heart of hearts.. I'm not going to apologise for being happy my team deservedly won either.. so well done to Max & Sam...
