noggin
The nails were being removed from British speedway coffin, one brainless ref has put them back, no wonder speedway is on the life support.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Fricke was just to clever , ref made the right decisonit could be argued he was clever until he hit Morris - at that point cleverness turned to being lucky.

Even in the interview with Morris he said it wasn't Max's fault and that he ran out of room
remembertheracers
The nails were being removed from British speedway coffin, one brainless ref has put them back, no wonder speedway is on the life support. It was not far from a 50/50 call, the obvious one being all 4 back. It was a decision that paid no attention to the entertainment of a good crowd, the Sky TV cameras and an audience willing to watch speedway on TV. Hope you slept well McGregor - and wake up deciding to quit. Edited July 11, 2014 by remembertheracers

Good ...no wonder people think speedway is stupid if you make calls based on the above ... Edited July 11, 2014 by orion
TheScotsman
Well done to the Monarchs. Don't forget Sam was actually leading at the time and Max was third. I did expect an all 4 back but I'm not a referee. You can't just change the rules though to ensure the crowd get an acceptable ending.

IF anyone should have gone it was fricke as he straightened up and moved further out which put him into morris... truly unbelievable that anyone reffing this race wouldnt just call fifty/fifty and invite all four back to do it again.. however if he had then we would all be talking about a great nights racing we had watched rather than the ref wouldnt we?!!! a sport dying on its backside finally has a showpiece event worthy of the name and gets a chance to showcase itself as something worth attending.. and it gets this.... SCOTLAND1314
Absolutely brilliant effort by Sam and Max especially given their slow start to the meeting. Kept their heads and got better and better as the night went on. Superb.
Falcon Hammer
Cracking meeting, great crowd, great racing, loved Masters indicating Fricke to slow down in the rerun of the Final Edinburgh on a roll - Cookie to win the SGP tomorrow!

Mr Blobby
must say seeing Tatum raging that the Rebels didn't win was the icing on the cake
TheScotsman
Wonder what the reaction would have been if it had been a Monarchs rider excluded. Just wondering!!

DavyH
Huge congrats to the Monarchs on winning the Pairs with their #2&3 riders. I haven't seen it on tv but from most posts it appears that the ref should have changed the rules because it was on tv???? Aye right.... There's more bitter in here than Wetherspoons!!
Starman2006
The final should have been all four back given the importance of the race and the meeting. Morris was given no option but to head for the fence. Had it been bends 3-4 fair enough. Same applies had it been the other way round.. YerRopes
A great meeting ruined by the referee.. A shocking decision that negated any need to have a re-run..
SomersetBlue
I am not saying anything about the exclusion although if it was 50/50 then all 4 back is normally the call. What I find an absolute disgrace, and don't care what I get called, Monarchs were NOT deserved winners. Simply the reason why: speedway is a RACING sport and that is what they did not do in the re- run. Masters signalling to Fricke to slow down is a disgrace. Unportsmanship almost rubbing it in us Rebels faces.
Marksman
The biggest prat tonight was Dick Barrie, what an absolute nonce, unbelievable. Talk about trying to be centre of attention.
