Arson fire
You'll not have heard that from me. I just think you have a weak team, and it hasn't been strengthened. no... I mean I keep clinging to that idea
StevePark
Firstly, I hope Lewis Rose is OK after his nasty looking tumble. Secondly, well done Redcar on there thoroughly deserved victory. Thirdly, (some/many) Newcastle fans wanted an 'out and out number one' and got that. The only way to do that was by dropping two of the top 5 and bringing in a 3 pointer as well. You could argue until the cows come home which two, but I don't think it would have made an awful lot of difference (maybe Robbo apart). It's a gamble by the Newcastle promotion, but nearly everyone said 'changes had to be made' so rather than sit on their tails they made a change.

Chewbacca
I think we sacked the wrong Swede. What us happened to lindgren's gating technique? He now lifts his front wheel two feet of the ground every single time. Frustrating to say the least.

Yes we did and if could of got Lambert would of had decent team, dont get me wrong I am happy with King but an 11.5 average and 3 pointer dont improve the team. King and Greenwood 11 points between them tonight, would Henry and Rosen of scored more? Yes!
ruffdiamond
Well said - if it were a good team Diamonds might not have got 30 Good sides take 4pts imagine what a good team would've done ??? can't say I agree with the changes, but it's early days,,, did'nt really expect that much from King, but I think he'll do the business,,, Dan Greenwood showed some good signs as the match went on,,, I would've stuck with Heanry n Rosen, and a dodgy number 1, but,,, am not the manager, so I'm not up there to make it right,,, shame like :-(
Arson fire
Gotta ask why it wasn't lindgren .... Does he pull money in for the club through his sponsors or something?? Or was it purely because he's based here.... Anyway if it was on performance he should have went surely??... Still I applaud George et al for making the changes as we were treading water to start with.
mrmiddlesbrough
All the bears fans got home quickly, nice to see you all at brough supporting your team. Oh and yes they have made the team worse BIG TIME! Great (cheap) choice of guest Not to bring up old arguments but quite a few Redcar fans vowed never to to come again some years ago

NJC71
Easy to be wise after the event but I said at the time, the changes would have worked with Lambert but not without him and that certainly looks to be the case so far. Shouldn't forget that we were struggling before the changes (just three race winners v Workington) and although I'm sure King will have far better nights than he did tonight, we look woefully weak at the bottom end and I doubt having Schramm available would have made that much difference. Can't see what else we can do now other than get on with it. What's done is done. If we are going to have to endure a poor season with a struggling side then lets at least have some good racing to enjoy. It was another desperately dull match with hardly a pass of note. There doesn't appear to be anything on offer on the track to give the rider in second or third a chance to overtake. Ok, it's been hot so I'm sure preparing the track wouldn't have been easy but it was pretty much the same against Workington. Riders like Robson and Lindgren who aren't noted for making fast starts really need some sort of grip somewhere to give them some sort of chance of overtaking. It never looked like happening tonight. Well done to Redcar who took full advantage and were well worth the 4 points. The Edinburgh match is looking a horrible prospect. We might get more points at Armadale. bri1966
Well done bears . A long summer of speedway ahead for Diamonds fans. Think Edinburgh would have got 60 tonight. Hope Rose is ok

Still I applaud George et al for making the changes as we were treading water to start with. I have been saying that since Christmas - I've taken a bit of flack for it too. Still think I was right. I liked the look of Rosen and thought he had potential and Henry certainly didn't deserve to be dropped. Still it is done now and we will just have to see what materializes in the future. Let's face it - things can only improve on tonight's performance. Congratulations and well done to Redcar - the better Team on the night. Man of the Match for me was Carl Wilkinson - I hope some of the Redcar Supporters who slag him off will desist now. He rode really well tonight and was great to watch. Finally- nice to see that the Promotion did Barry Wallace proud - it must have been great for him to lead out the two Teams. :approve:

I do actually realise he "aint riding PL" and no it's not difficul(t) to grasp....
