StevePark
Thought I'd get this up and running. It's a special day on Sunday for a man who is synonymous with Newcastle Speedway. http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100259

HadrianDog
I was not even 1 yet, but I hope he has a great day. Makes DK's home debut seem an also ran. But who is to say that the two events are not somehow linked. Will DK also go on to great things.
Chewbacca
Great service. His voice always makes me feel I'm 'home'
Tsunami
Used to like his voice at the TOON when he was twinned with Alan Robson. If he had been born earlier you could see him challenging Alvar Lidell for the war announcements. Now it's just wor announcements. Bryn Williams of Hackney, IOW, and every other track, also has a good special distinctive voice for announcing. Just don't tell the old bugger that.
BBSC
Well done to Barry Wallace for 50 years service, he also done an excellent job for Berwick in the Berrington Lough days hope he has a good day on Sunday.
ch958
as a fervent bears fan he was always the voice of the enemy! one of the very best in the business though
HadrianDog
Cricket had Brian Johnson, Speedway still has Barry Wallace with many more meetings to cover.
Arson fire
Barry has been a class act over the years, a bit corny sometimes but he's a very good announcer, can't think of many I've heard better. A fantastic servant to newcastle speedway and a lovely bloke to boot!! Thank you and congrats on this milestone Barry in the box.
HadrianDog
Always clear and to the point with some good banter with Roy to boot. I just wish I could hear more of it. Once I move to the end to watch the 3/4 bends those dodgy speakers often fade to virtually nothing. Just wish the promotion would chuck a few quid at the problem and solve something we have lived with for a number of years now.

HadrianDog
aye... Apart from the pre race nicknamey carry on lol... Got to say that I like the nicknames. Trying to give the riders a persona ala WWE is a way to attract the younger fans methinks. Yes it can start to grate a bit by heat 15, but if it adds some 'colour' to an otherwise 'grey' rider then power to him.
