CB252
We have lots of fixtures next week so might be bad move banning him. Also would harm our team spirit What, because he won't be there to knock a team mate off like he did Fisher at Leicester?
Blazeaway
So Saturdays meeting wasn't initially due to be held in the Ukraine the weekend before but got cancelled at the end March due to political unrest and re-arranged for this weekend in Latvia? And the EL fixtures were out in January this year! Hans Andersen is a lair. He couldn't have know until at least late March he was due to be riding on this date so how was he raising the issue in February? Thank god you didn't call him a liar...

mdmc82
Eagles vs 3 PL riders, 3 NL riders and a R/R for bomber If Eastbourne dont hit 60 and lots of 5-1s then something very wrong against a NL/PL side. Hope the riders have a safe meeting.
mdmc82
Agree. I hope it rains and gets called off because it would be a good meeting if both teams were at full strength. Agree, would have been nice to see a proper meeting and see a team win it fairly on merit
SCB
That has to be the saddest looking EL team ever. A PL team would beat it!
SteveLyric2
Hardly the best reasons to get people out of their FA Cup Final/Finnish GP armchairs!! Surely there was another Saturday available!!
mdmc82
Swindon will also go to eastbourne next week with a NL at number 1 in place of Kildemand. couldn't Swindon and Coventry have swapped fixtures so they both had their number 1s or was it not allowed by Eastbourne?
Mike.Butler
I'm going to Rye House instead. 15 competitive heats and 6 mdl to follow. Elite league my ar*e
BANANAMAN
Something needs to be done 2 home fixtures running against NL No.1s. Apart from the 50 loyal Eagles fans nobody else will turn up and Eastie will hit 60 and they will have to pay there riders a bomb and do the 50/50 draw therefore at the end of the meeting Eastie will be on a huge financial loss on the night just so they can get 3 easy points whilst the rest of us will be enjoying the Finnish GP. If the Eagles & Coventry promotions have not got a problem going ahead with the fixture I am sure what supporters think has very little value . MFE
If the Eagles & Coventry promotions have not got a problem going ahead with the fixture I am sure what supporters think has very little value . Had every intention of a weekend in Eastbourne taking in the Speedway along with family and friends, cancelled now at the last minute due to this pathetic team the Bees are fielding, speedway really needs to get a grip of these issues fast, I cannot imagine for one second that Pratty at Cradley would have accepted this fixture, it does no one any good neither Eastbourne or Coventry. What is the point of supporting a team, as the results do not reflect the efforts of your 7 Riders, the Top 4 teams for the playoffs are the ones who can field their starting line ups on the most occasions, reckon the only matches of significance are just the playoffs, the rest represent Challenge matches of old.
stan jr
I would be interested to hear the attendace to this meeting as surley only die hard Eastbourne fans will bother!?

Horton has got a big problem about it but both teams have to agree to rearrange it!
hagonshocker
Exactly. No disrespect to Eastbourne promoters but how can they justify not changing the date. I know teams aim is to win but Coventry are handing it to them here. Going to be abit of a hollow victory when its against a team mainly made up of 6 NL and PL riders. Really poor advert for the sport. Gonna be a very small crowd and loss of profit as cant see many neutrals or bees fans going plus also GP & FA cup final. What like your mob changed the meeting last season when Swindon visited you with our Aussie select?..........
CB252
What like your mob changed the meeting last season when Swindon visited you with our Aussie select?.......... Exactly. It's all down to Mick's own incompetence like it was with Swindon last year, so no use moaning. How Swindon have got themselves into the same pickle 2 years running is unfathomable and unforgivable.
hagonshocker
I am a Robin but I have to stick up for Coventry fans here we are now going to see Worrall up against heat leaders it is just a ridiculous decision to run this meeting its a NL/PL team at EL prices. So Swindon fans last year do not count?....sports a mess run by incompetent and at times selfish idiots as proved by the amount of times we were shafted last year....kinda what comes around....
mdmc82
What like your mob changed the meeting last season when Swindon visited you with our Aussie select?.......... an aussie select of brandon track experts, not a NL team
Woz01
The home team should never have to rearrange if they don't want to. It was bad enough being without Harris and Garrity but with Hans missing too highlights the poor planning. Time to look at the idea of squads? Steve0
an aussie select of brandon track experts, not a NL team I don't get your point! The situation is the same - for the sake of the fans, it should never have gone ahead last season (as I said at the time) and the same this season. Bees fans were happy to go ahead last year - Swindon's fault for accepting the fixture, why shoukd we change - blah! Blah! Blah! The reason you are running an NL rider at number is because Hans is riding in a competition that isn't recognised by the BSPA - so no facility - the same as last year when he wasn't at KL for Swindon. As for the Aussie select of track experts - they weren't that expert because Swindon lost
