Don't think there's any rule that allows that TBH - probably because there's not similar facilities in non-TV meetings.

 

Yeah but perhaps the rules should be different for televised meetings, does the ref not have a screen in the box when SKY are in town?

Whatever it just goes to show just how wrong referees can be and why they should have ermmmmm what should we call them, akin to football and their linesmen ............. bendsmen ......

Haha yep - never understood really why there can't be maybe a trainee official on the bends. And I think they have access to a monitor in TV meetings but he'd obviously made his mind up before they showed the replay anyway - i guess. What I was getting at tho' was there'd be no monitor (or anyone filming probably) at non-TV meetings,so you couldn't really have one rule for TV and another for non-TV matches.
