Shaleshifter
Well next Wednesday the current elite league leaders the Lakeside Hammers arrive at Wimborne Road in search of points. The Pirates have been riding ok at home apart from the meeting with the brummies so should be an entertaining 15 heats. Hopefully Kyle will be fit to return to the reserve birth as he will up against Adam Ellis who has been scoring well for the Hammers. The Hammers have a good top 3 in Peter Karlssson Davey Watt and Mikel Mikelssen so the Pirates will need to be on their guard. Josh Grajczonek has been on fire for Poole and Workington so far, both he and Vaclav Milek will need to outscore Lewis Bridger and Richard Lawson If Poole are to get the win. Thoughts? No - Poole are the Cup holders for winning the 2013 season. Poole are the Champions of the 2013 season - that's what they received the Cup for. Poole retain the Cup until the end of the second leg of the 2014 season for winning it for the 2013 season. It's a retrospective accolade for past success - not for any successes gained in the 2014 season. Any team beating you this at a meeting this season is beating the winners of the 2013 season who may or may not be the winners of the 2014 season... they are beating past champions of the Cup for the 2013 season......

Don't embarrass yourself... Look up "reigning champion". Can't believe some people hate Poole so much they would throw common sense out the window. Your entire post was nonsense. Also, setting your signature to reflect one posters opinion of your posts as being "sensible" isn't impressive, it just comes across as if you are desperate to reassure that you don't talk exclusive out your jacksie. That is exactly what Shovlar said in 2011 after Coventry won the championship in 2010. Well said Scribbler! .

Nellie
You are the Champions of the 2013 season. The Champions of the 2014 season is yet to be decided... Quite, but until the 2014 champions are decided, Poole remain the reigning EL champions. This could be a close meeting. Bech will be a handful, even at heat leader, Watt has had a great night tonight and Lawson has been really good all year. Lakeside also have stronger reserves with Newman only just coming back from injury. I fancy Lakeside to get really close.
