Newcastle Drop Rosen....

Recommended Posts

I take it Nathan greaves has been named as a 1-7 rider otherwise how can the changes be legal? The 1-7 was rejected with lambert in so unless you add a 3pt rider in declaration it will only be a 6 man team and after Monday would be a 6 man team with less than 3pts left!!

Danny King and his brother even though Jason said the other week he couldnt really seeing himself racing again, stranger things have happened.

So many people on the terraces would love to see Jase. return, but given his work commitments and young family etc. it seems unlikely.

Why was Lambert rejected?

If you converted his assessed EL 3.00 ave it would become 4.8 and including him in the declared team would exceed 42.50.

There would also be the farcical situation if King's Lynn & Newcastle had fixture clashes, the Diamonds would be missing Kerr, Rose, and Lambert and would require at least two guests in their places.

You have to use 3 separators for multiples. x1.666 is the same as ÷0.6

Like it ? at this time of night, I don't even understand it-me and math no- looks good though.

Did well enough to get the track record at Peterborough last week.

Exactly, so back to my theory re. deliberate changes to fit in a particular rider.

The SCB has have this in their rulebook;

"The BSPA MC monitors all proposed moves and has the sole responsibility to approve all (re-)Declared Team Line-Ups having been satisfied they are in the best interests of the sport."

That is probably the reason they will give, maybe their scared that Newcastle would of been too good haha! Plus the fact the having 3 KL riders may make some meetings become abit farcical with guests?

Diamonds swoop for World Cup Star

Thursday 8th May 2014, 23:23 UK

by Paul Williams

Team GB star Danny King has joined Newcastle

The Sapphire Engineering Diamonds have shuffled their pack by bringing in top performer Danny King to join their ranks but hopes of adding another important key player were thwarted by the British Speedway Promoters Association Management Committee who rejected the initial 1-7 declaration which also included rising star, Robert Lambert.

The club are delighted to have the hugely popular Danny King in their ranks and the Team GB rider was equally delighted to be able to join the team that his elder brother, Jason, has led to national trophy success.

Danny said As soon as my Elite League team Birmingham made changes to their team that meant I had the opportunity to double up then I was hopeful that the Diamonds would be able to fit me in.

I need more meetings so this is a marvellous opportunity for me and I am so excited about the challenge that the Premier League will throw up.

I have always got on well with everyone at Newcastle and I hope that along with the skipper, Stuart Robson, I can also bring on the talented youngsters in the team, if only we could have got Robert Lambert as well but it seems that is unfortunately not going to happen.

The Newcastle and Kings Lynn clubs are both extremely disappointed with the decision that blocks the youngster who has just declared his intention to ride for Great Britain as they both feel the actual declaration was correct and that the progress of a talented rider may be affected.

For this Sundays meeting against Peterborough Nathan Greaves who rode so well for Newcastle at Scunthorpe will once again take his place in the Newcastle team.

While new riders come in there has to be the same number coming out of the side and Newcastle have taken both Christian Henry and Anton Rosen out of the team for the time being.

Diamonds Team Manager George English said Its always difficult when you are shuffling with averages to make changes and on this occasion it is Christian and Anton who we have had to dispense with their services.

Christian has been around us a long time and both he and Anton could count themselves unlucky to be left out, but that is the way that Speedway works unfortunately due to average restrictions and we can only thank them for all their efforts for the club.

I agree with you thoughts ,Shrammy is a nice guy but let's be honest he is not going to get any better now a is a crash waiting to happen nowadays.I though he would be first to go.

One word-Commitment- he always gives his all, and with a young reserve you need an older head as back-up.

cant see any fixture clashes in the fixtures?? Unless I've missed them??

Wait I'm confused we have

1. Danny King

2. Ludvig Lindgren

3. Stuart Robson

4. Lewis Kerr

5. Lewis Rose

6. Chris Schramm

7.

Who's the other rider or hasn't it been announced?

Just for Sunday of permanently?

And will Danny King be here on Sunday or can't he ride yet?

It's ridiculous how Robert Lambert's move was blocked. I thought it was about bringing up young Brits not not letting them ride more. STUPID!!!

we could go with a temp reserve until lambert gets an average so he can double up :)..... Wishful thinking :)

Does Lambert still race in Germany at the weekend?

I alluded to this earlier. If he is only in as a guest then on Monday your 6 named riders total 40.6 when rose`s average goes up meaning even a 3pt rider would take you over the limit.

If greaves is declared then at least it allows you to find the best 3pt rider you can (which may end up as greaves)

Lambert to be a Diamond next month?

Surely next month at the lowest his actual EL average would be 3 which would convert to far too much to be a PL 3pt rider!!
