Newcastle Drop Rosen....

No they wouldn't. Where in the rules does it say if one of your riders starts to double up with a PL team you have to redeclare?

And you're right, if a PL team signs Toft is legal via this loophole. As BV would not be redeclaring the rule doesn't come into play.

It doesn't need to by definition you are changing the make up of the team which means you need to inform the BSPA of the change. This makes it a redeclaration and has to follow the rules

even if you bypassed with this loophole how would he get an average. You cant give an assessed average from an assessed average and by the rules now he would instead have to have an assessed 7pt average having raced in the EL. Either way he will not fit in newcastles team. (might in ryehouse though they have plenty of points!!)

And just to add even if you try to exploit any "loophole" it will be slammed shut by the rule which states:

"The BSPA MC monitors all proposed moves and has the sole responsibility to approve all (re-)Declared Team Line-Ups having been satisfied they are in the best interests of the sport"

Now please stop putting fanciful ideas into Diamonds mind, he should be revising :nono::nono: :nono:

I doesn't necessarily say that Greaves wont be the 7th man it just says that the 7th riders is still to be confirmed. Danny King is down as our number 1 so you would have thought if it was Greaves who signed he would have been on the website as well
