Newcastle V Peterborough 11th May 2014 Premier League

Absolutely sloshing it down in Sunderland.

Are you on the drink again to drown your sorrows then.

And just for good measure, the bloody sun is now shining in Wallsend. We might have risked this meeting if up against local opposition methinks.

Not long been back from the track after dropping the fence down. We had a lot of rain yesterday, but very little late and through the night. Forecast said rain this morning with showers during the day, but before NOON, it was a glorious day , warm breezy and dry. Got to the track and there was still water on the track, but it was felt we could get the meeting on, especially as at that time the Boro team and travel fans would have been on their way. A heavy shower came over, and all the track was very wet, and about 10 minutes later a longer shower which the track could just not take. A brave attempt to try to get it on, not even a likelihood yesterday afternoon with all that rain, but all to no avail.

Schramm not down to ride due to back pains, where he apparently he already has a plate. No doubt he will be grateful the postponement will give him a longer period to heal.

Best decision to cancel from a lot of angles, no doubt the team changes will occupy the minds to see what should happen next with the team.

What nonsense, I want a refund from the newcastle promotion.

Is that for wasting your broadband allowance posting drivel on here whilst sat in you bedroom ?

Wasted trip to Brough. Never even crossed my mind that this would be off. Been a fine day other than a heavy ish shower for 20 minutes this afternoon. Certainly seen meetings take place when the weather during the day has been a hell of a lot worse.

Never mind.

unless the track was desperate then it's def the wrong call.... Given when it was called off and given the rain since then ( hardly any if any at all) then surely there was time to get it raceable.... ?? Yes we all understand the panthers and travelling but it's part and parcel..... On warm sunny evening aswell :(

So with this rain-off I guess we have dodged the bullet as it seems Schrambo was unfit. It gives the lad another week to recover before Plymouth on Friday. Shame that Danny King makes his team debut away though. I bet Redcar are so looking forward to next Sunday too.

In this situation, I guess, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.

The forecast was pretty dire and, had they still ran, you can guarantee it would have poured down and everyone would say "well the forecast said...."

In some resects it's a gamble either way, although if you read Tsunami's post, it sounds like it was a 'no-goer' anyway.

Should of went and asked them for one as your return train shouldn't be booked until after 9:00 if the meeting was on Edited by KEITH M
