Sheffield V Berwick (ko Cup Restaging) May 8

Recommended Posts

he can't 'sign' for them till the sheffield/speedway-in-general issue (re work permits/visa's) saga is resolved ..., therefore his is still in the 'declared' sheffield 1-7 (until the new team is ratified) , therefore r/r is the ruling

Are you meaning Roynon, then if he is still in the Sheffield 1-7 he should take his place in their team. There is no way Sheffield should have any facility, if the rules mean anything that this.

roynan won't ride for them though (rightly so) therefore he is 'withholding his services' = r/r

Just because the BSPA got it wrong last Saturday doesn't mean they have to get it wrong again this evening, to be fair to the BSPA they have been put in this position by Sheffield Speedway and their hilarious attempt to replace Roynon with Proctor. Sheffield have had ample time to replace Roynon with another rider, if the Proctor move was looking doubtful, infact they could reinstate Roynon if they so wished.

the BSPA have not been put in this position by Sheffield.

if Sheffield made the application wrongly, then as the governing body they should have said no, its not Sheffields fault that the BSPA dont know what they are doing

How can it be the BSPA fault if it's a visa issue?

wasnt saying the visa problem was the BSPAs fault, but the situation is.

Sheffield should not have been allowed a facility on Saturday night, the fact the were is the BSPAs fault because they allowed it

The only acceptable reason for having a facility (r/r) for Roynon on Saturday would be that he was " in dispute with his club" in these cases dispute has to be accepted by Management Committee and they should then determine the "period of the riders inactivity"

Theoretically as this was agreed on Saturday this period of inactivity should have been known on Saturday!! So it should be clear whether a facility is in place for tonight.

I don't know how contract system works, but I would assume that at some point Roynon is officially released from Sheffield's "control" and is available to pursue employment elsewhere, if this has happened then he can't be "in dispute" with a club he has no ties to??

The plot thickens!

so if it turns out to be a visa problem. that means that somerset tried to sign up 2 riders that were not entitled to ride in 2014 for different reasons. b kurtz on a false average and ty with no visa .

It's just as much as sheffield's fault as the bspa's, sheffield for being clueless andthe bspa for advocating the 2 typesof visas for riders who didn't apply for the correct one in a timely manner.

Which one, the correct one or the Doyle type restrictive visa?

proctor has the correct type of visa

Then why the ongoing fiasco, it would allow him to double up. If they are questioning his ability to do that it clearly indicates someone belives he has a Doyle type visa. Or is the visa a red herring and the trouble is coming from Sweden.
