2nd time lucky for this meeting I hope...

Of course, I will think positive and say we should get through... Unless we really capitulate!

I think the Sheffield Promotion need to get out the Sheffield v Edinburgh 2010 Play Off Semi Final DVD, to inspire the Sheffield team.

I think that we are going to need another performance like that again for Thursday.

According to BSPA website (great thing this internet) the Sheffield 1-7 still has Adam Roynon in it.

Sheffield's own website is talking about "including new boy Proctor" on Thursday.

Less than 53 hours before the tapes go up, and the rule-book says the home team must notify the visitors of their line-up at least 5 days before the meeting, and notify the referee, BSPA, etc, of both teams at least 3 days before.

Can I ask - have Sheffield asked to change their 1-7? Has permission, apparently denied on Saturday, now been granted for any change? Was this within the (72-hour?) deadline?

In the Sheffield Star:-

Ty Proctor’s move to Sheffield is hanging in the balance.

The Aussie, who rides for Elite League Wolverhampton, was signed recently as a replacement for Adam Roynon as Tigers management looked to bolster their side. But the move is on hold because of an issue over his visa with question marks over his eligibility to double-up.

British Speedway bosses meet tomorrow to thrash out the problem; Tigers won’t know until then whether they can include him in the side for the Knockout Cup tie with Berwick at Owlerton that night.

Sheffield co-promoter Damien Bates said: “As far as we are concerned Ty should be able to join Sheffield. We had done all we could and then were told there was an issue. Hopefully he’ll get clearance this week. It’s frustrating because we want to get on after a very promising start.”

Sheffield submitted their re-declared line-up to the Speedway Promoters’ Association for approval by the management committee. But no new team declaration has been published; that means Proctor is still not officially a Sheffield rider.

It means rider and club alike face an anxious wait.

Sheffield find themselves 18pts down from the first leg at Shielfield Park but Bates believes the side has what it takes to turn the situation around.

“We have to be positive” he said. “We go into the meeting knowing we have to get at them right from the start and see where it takes us.

And we need out brilliant supporters to get right behind us, as they have done all season.”

So much for the rules regarding when you have to declare your Team .Usual c*ck up in speedway. If no new team is declared surely they have to go with original Team (whatever that is). This has rain -off written all over it. Edited by Fromafar

So that`ll be Hall to Sheffield then.

If Proctors move to Sheffield is blocked then Sheffield cant be allowed the same facility again surely, they must sign someone else, reinstate Roynon or go with a NL guest. The BSPA having made one error last weekend cant make another tomorrow surely.

At last we hear more of the story from Sheffield.

If the border authorities don't give Proctor the move then the Tigers' 1-7 remains as is, with Adam Roynon in it.

If they don't get Proctor, it is either the old team with Adam riding, the old team with r/r for him or the old team with an NL guest.

Or the threatened afternoon (but not evening) rain coming to their rescue like a gust of kamikaze wind.
