SCB
Phil. Speaking of media, were Nigel Pearson and Kelvin commentating from trackside or backhome in a studio.?The terrible sound led me to believe the later. Whoever is doing the World feed does it from track side - which is why we have someone different for NZ each season rather than the regular duo. pugwash
Whoever is doing the World feed does it from track side - which is why we have someone different for NZ each season rather than the regular duo. I am aware of this but the sound mix at this GP seemed differant to usual BSI productions. The bikes and stadium noise seemed distant and the commentatry sounded 'disattached'. A bit like it used to sound when Tony Millard was pretending to be a trackside in Poland when a few hours before he was commentating on Brighton v Somebody football match on the radio. pugwash
THEY were definitely there... Ok, then BSI need better sound mix or I need hearing test. Probably the latter.

mothorsen
Just watched a recording of the meeting. Utterly boring. I started fast forwarding after two laps in many races. The commentators have a grueling job trying to maintain "excitement" through the laps. I might turn a boring meeting into a drinking game next time: A shot for whenever they say"pushing haaard", and nothing happenes, or wiggle a bit to the sound of "How on earth did he stay on the bike there". I should be completely blasted after six or seven heats. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the commentators, but it just seems so strained when trying to bring action in where there is none. Bring on Målilla, and let's get, if not a splendid race, at least a decent one. Edited June 3, 2014 by mothorsen
