rob tatum
Imo thought the gp was ok brilliant coverage from eurosport ,lovely stadium & setting (having been its a great city) & a bumper crowd. Ok it wasn't the best gp but every sport you care to mention can't always be thrilling every match or meeting. Personally I am just glad its on the tv & produced by a company that whisper it quietly seems to care about our marvellous sport. One other thing that froch right hand was one in a million.
stratton
Some good racing, i am not a lover of Prague so was pleased it was a half decent meeting.Pedersen a disgrace again why does this bloke do it?stuck Greg bigtime be tough but be fair again he oversteps the mark. bigcatdiary
Poor GP again from the Marketa stadium it's the destination rather than the race track that is the main reason this GP stays on the SGP rota Pardubice would be a a far better race track for a Czech GP but not got the wow factor that the city of Prague has . Â I think they should give Pardubice a chance, the Marketa track is awful but as others have said Prague is outstanding.

broadsider 55
If that had been Nicki in Grag's position he'd have gone down like a sack of potatoes! Â Niamh what where you watching yes nicki was hard guess what its the world championship what do want indicators and mirrors its a tough sport didn't see greg giving nicki any stick so whats the problem when nicki retires the grand prix series will be a lot duller

phillipsr
Cant believe people still whinge about Nicki. The GP's will be a much worse place when he decides to quit. Imagine watching 16 Hancocks or Bjerre's. Stadiums with 4 people in would be great for the sport

Greg actually rode a wider line than Nicki did, both hard moves, and i agree with your view of things 100%...
Fromafar
The track shape looks perfect for great racing but why can't they sort out track prep, that was poor viewing. When we have good track prep the same guys give us great entertainment so you can't blame the riders

CB252
Hancock is right. He is getting too old and over sensitive. Â He dealt it back to Pedersen in spades in the final, but thankfully Nicki didn't embarrass himself and managed to shake Hancock's hand at the end of the race. Â It's a World Final FFS. Compared to what Nielsen did to Tatum in 1990 at Odsal it was childs play. The top riders of the past used to deliver much harder moves than the guff we watch nowadays and the sport used to be all the better for it. New Science
Speedway fans do seem to want utopia every time they watch a meeting.. Â Watch any motor sport at the highest level and 'from the start' is the usual mantra for the winner.. Â Moto GP, Superbikes and, god forbid, MX and F1, the vast majority of the time sees one man win by a country mile with the rest of the competitors strung out 'miles' behind.. Â Speedway is often no different but occasionally can deliver breathtaking entertainment,, Â It just doesn't happen that often... Â The occasion is the reason for being there when attending a world class motor sport event if the racing is great then it's a bonus..ives We don't want utopia but a simply track that is worthy of a world championship event,a track that gives the best riders in the world a chance to race, not simply a gating competition. Speedways apologists need to get real,we are in the entertainment business and in the last 2 GP'S we have seen precious little. We all except when there is inclement weather that it can affect track preparation.but when the weather is good there is little excuse.People are paying top dollar to watch these events and I think those fans that attended the last 2 GP's have short changed.

Not sure about others years where the racing as been just as processional.

speedway is a sport that their aim is to win at, hence the 'tractor man' is almost as important as the riders at some tracks...  many fans seem to equate 'entertainment' with passing, however a meeting with no passes whatsoever can be entertaining, especially if the atmosphere being generated by a large crowd adds to the occasion..  as a fan of a good few years I can honestly say, at most tracks, if you get one 'great race' in ten you are very lucky, 90% of races wherever you watch are usually 'from the gate' ...  oh for every track to be a hyde rd, scunthorpe or somerset..  sadly though they are not hence we have what we have as a sport ie not special but very similar to all other sports in that the vast majority of events are very mundane and every now and then.we will get a 'cracker'... pugwash
the Marketa stadium has been greatly improved for spectators and media on the back of having the series there.  . Phil. Speaking of media, were Nigel Pearson and Kelvin commentating from trackside or backhome in a studio.?The terrible sound led me to believe the later.
