Arson fire
I did'nt say they were'nt good enough,,, I asked why you thought they were'nt good enough as a team,,, honest question...because we have no out and out big hitter, we are also weak at reserve with a journey man on the way down... And a rookie.... We don't have many if any who will increase their averages, robbo and Henry arnt going to improve much at their age, ludvig isn't consistent etc etc... With Kerr and Richie last year we had match winners, we don't have that now, we are much of a muchness... IMO

IMO can't argue with that,,, (in general),,, but it's early days still and Rose will come good and Rosen might also,,, Richie was a good strong first bender, but other than that, was'nt a great passer, (not for want of trying) IMO
HadrianDog
internationl star wars day. MAY THE 4th be with you .. it was today.. Â you should have told George, maybe with Vader guesting for Anton, we might have even won. Come to think of it, with a tin of green paint Schrambo might do a decent impersonation of Yoda- on his day he is certainly capable of bike levitation. I have to agree with Arson Fire here, looking like bottom of the table all the way. Â Two matches back and bet I the Glasgow faithful were thinking the same. Now with two good home wins under their belt, maybe not. Sport in general is fickle and our sport even more so.
bri1966
Poor gating by Diamonds ,Still expect Robbo to do his swoops round outside but got nowhere near The Comets even though the winning times were not quick . Poor meeting only Rose with his pass on Campton the only decent race
emilali
Decent meeting without being spectacular. Workington were pretty much a cut above from the start, with the exception of Chris Mills who was absolutely woeful, why is he still in the team? Josh G absolutely untouchable throughout, he has really stepped up this season. Gating seemed to let the Diamonds down mostly, and when the Comets got out front they were quick. Imagine changes will be imminent at Brough.
robbieblackadder fan club
We are into May now and to say it's to early to see is rubbish,we have had over a month to see and we have not been up to the usual high standards set by newcastle teams in the past,if we're to turn the season around now something needs to be changed,do I think it will happen probably not given the promotion normally stick with what we have and are not known for making to many big/important decisions but if the season is not to be over by the end of May they need to act now Edited May 5, 2014 by robbieblackadder fan club
montie
,, Richie was a good strong first bender, but other than that, When he left Scunny he had a girlfriend i think, moved to Newcastle and turned into one of them---typical
Taylorj
Well Done the Comets !! To be fair we deserved all 4 points last night the score somewhat flattered the Newcastle Diamonds , the 8-1 pulled them back into it . It must be the first time I have been to Newcastle where the Diamonds have looked vulnerable. One thing that did strike me was the lack of support from the Newcastle fans, only time they showed any life was when Newcastle won a race and that wasn't very often . Couldn't suffer that atmosphere week in week out ,even Stuart Robson got more support from worky fans than his own, good job us Comets fans made ourselves heard. We got behind our lads last night and it showed on track . Â A very happy supporters bus on the way home Edited May 5, 2014 by Taylorj

Lord Lucan
An excellent if unexpected result, was hoping for one but I'll take the three instead without a doubt!! Â Some pretty solid looking scoring there by the Comets, Mills apart, (disappointing) he can and should be doing a bit better than that, he is more than capable but, I wasn't there so maybe issues at play that I don't know about? Â Top performances from Josh/Ricky, almost untouchable by most reports on here so that has to bode well for future away trips, team looks to be coming together quite nicely but, some improvement still required to make us the finished article? Â Newky seem a bit down at the moment but that wont last forever, often have been one of the best sides in the PL and this one isn't really that bad, missing Rosen wont have helped and the odd e/f just goes to exacerbate an already difficult period? I wouldn't be too disheartened, Newky too good to lounge around at the wrong end of the table for long, you'll be back, just give it time!! Â Still, nice start for us, top of the pile for now so, gotta be happy with that, be better if this were the end of the season tho!!
DIAMONDS
Something else that wont help our cause is that over the season we have had 32 either falls or engine failures in only 13 meetings. Â That's an average of 2.46 times a meeting. Just think of all of the points we have lost to that.
