Delighted the weather has decided to play ball, should be a very interesting match this if nothing else, Somerset running very well at the moment and are always pretty good value round our place so we will need to be on the ball from the off, cant afford the last places tonight we're gonna need everything and more besides to take a good lead to the OTA!! ;)

Shame there is no Rene tonight, hope that's not too bad an accident and he's back with us soon, don't expect Robbo to let us down so, here's hoping for a 10+ return, same with Schrammy!! :D

If the Comets get a good start I could see us with a tidy win by 12/14, tho preferably more would be better, allow Somerset to get the upper hand early doors and it could be tough just to get the win, game on!! :t:

Tough opener for the holders at this seasons fav for most things! Somerset were pretty awesome last night and nobody has really battered us for a while even though our form has been a bit in and out so far. Once again I`m looking for a good showing from Olly Allen to continue on from last nights paid max,as we have been letting ourselves down at the end of matches especially in heat 15,an area where last season we were very strong. Safe journey up to all my friends from the OTA and also no injuries to either side please.

why is Kyle at the hospital?

Flipped right over at the start of his first ride, landed pretty heavily but managed to get through the rest of the meeting, hopefully just a precautionary check up!!

Very good performance from the Comets against a very solid looking Somerset team, don't understand the comments of a "poor display" by the Ht Leaders, Kurtz/Allen were better value than their scores would suggest and a little bit of luck would have seen them post better, falls/mechanical damage doing them down a bit?

Comets stuck in well and were worth the win which, in the end, was certainly bigger than it was looking early doors and have given themselves as good a chance as we could have of progression into the next round? 14pts should be enough especially as we, hopefully, will have a full strength team out on Friday for the 2nd leg but, it's Comets on the road and we've not done too well at the OTA in recent times so, it's not a gimme just yet!! ;)

Big Thank's to Robbo, great return from him tonight, Schrammy not as effective this time but all points gratefully received, Millsy needs more speed, Campton just getting better but needs to block riders more effectively, getting caught out a bit there, Kyle did tremendously well to get through tonight after his spill and capped off a pretty eventful night with two superb race wins, Josh just outstanding, what more can you say!! :t:

Looking forward to the 2nd leg with a bit more confidence now, we should be capable of putting this to bed and I would be pretty disappointed if we don't?

He flipped it on the start of his first heat, knocked the wind out of him and looked like a sore back I think. Won his last two races with great passes though so can't be too bad

Really good win tonight, remains to be seen if 14 points is enough, thought everyone played a part but Josh was fantastic, a real number 1

Warning bells ringing over here at Brough. No Rene to watch so bummer to that, but Wells back to a track he has performed well at in the past. Graz seems to be on fire, but we have arranged a waterlogged track to scupper him. You all saw tonight how Robbo is riding, but the rest of the team-minus Rosen we think?- is problematical. Three hopefully, but two accepted and more likely. Please oh please make me eat humble pie boys, and stuff the Worky Candles.

I'm please with the 14 points to take to OTA, hopefully we will have Rene back for Friday and put up a better fight than the Witches did this Friday  . A huge thanks to Robbo for guesting last night he did a fine job and was first out on track to check Kyle was okay after flipping his bike :t:

Well done Comets !!

A good win for Workington against a handy looking Somerset team.

All the Worky side contributed to the win and thanks must go to Robbo and Schrammy for putting in a good effort as guests, the Rebels have all the makings of a great side with top heat leaders in Allen and Morris with good backing Aspergen and Charlie Wright and Brady Kurtz looks like he could go a long way in the sport but was unlucky to fall twice in heat 10.

Not sure if 14pts will be enough to take to the OTA but Worky will hopefully have a full side next Friday to take on the Rebels.

Oh, Josh Grajczonek was fantastic last night!! :D
