DW
New averages already out!! The ones used in the race card today are the new ones. Only Berge is subject to 4h 4a. Our overall average is 41.49 so if we're allowed to replace Berge we would have 6.01 to play with. Weirdly Wolbert's average has increased by 0.02 !!!! Was wondering how that was possible myself on how his average can actually increase after his let's say slowish start to the season one theory i do have is that the BSPA are getting there own back on dodgy burgergate but penalising the wrong team. DW
Not sure how a rider dropping down a league is calculated. It may be that his scores this season are replacing his Belle Vue ones from 2013, hence the slight increase if he had a bad start to last year. It may be that his scores this season are replacing his Belle Vue ones from 2013, hence the slight increase if he had a bad start to last year. It'll be his PL scores being removed. I can only assume he had an even worse run of meetings about 22 meetings ago that have now come off to be replaced by some poor recent scores. MD
Wheres all this crap about new averages coming from? You get new averages on the 1st of every month unless you're assesed then you get one after 4 home and 4 away. Glasgow won't get new averages until June 1st. While Lemon and Wolbert will drop it wont be by anywhere near as much as you think due to rolling averages. I was going by the programme averages for 2014 not realising rolling averages! smod
The form of Anders Thomsen shows Glasgow they have more to thank Alun Biggart for than merely saving the club from extinction in 2012, and burning his fingers financially in 2013 to keep it going. Anders must be the brightest Danish prospect to hit Britain for a while -- well done, Mister B! Edited May 5, 2014 by smod
Paulco
Two words to describe yesterday's meeting , Anders Thomsen . The young lad was absolutely brilliant . Without him the meeting would have been a total rain affected borefest , young master Thomsen rescued things for the paying public . That saying , he had solid back up from Theo Pijper , Rusty Harrison and even Kevin Wolbert looked a lot faster in heat 15 than he has all season . For the Bears , Son of God got over his bout of " crap guest syndrome " from last week and raced to an imperious maximum . Yes he was outstanding , but it was all gate and gone from him , unlike Thomsen who had us all covering our eyes with his round the airfence bursts ( canny say round the boards anymore ) . Summers started brightly , but faded . Graversen had his moments , Konopka looks a complete nutcase , Crang did all that could be expected from him , while Skidmore and Wilkinson disappointed . That pairing looks a problem for the Bears away from home . A happy home support in the bar afterwards , all in all a good day .
Robinh88
Thought the track rode very well considering the conditions. Anders Anderson gave the perfect performance. Glasgow were solid with the exception of Lemon, it’s sad to watch I wasn’t disappointed by Redcar, they are a poor side (Lawson apart) who shines like a beacon. There good home form.. wont last
