What Pl Team Is Most Disliked?

Recommended Posts

Cradley are the team that everyone loves tgo hate in the NL. Poole holds that accolade in the EL although Leicester are giving them a run for their money. I've never known this in the PL. Why is this?

Fair enough it just dawned on me that the PL don't seem to have a villain

That's OK mate - we are far too grown up and mature to go in for hating Teams.

We basically just have the local spats . Glasgow/Edinburgh , Newcastle/Redcar . The threads when these meetings take place can get silly at times with a load of name calling . But what i have noticed is that a lot of PL supporters have a drink and a blether together, before during and after meetings , more than what goes on in either of the other two divisions .

Can't say that any PL side is universally disliked. We don't really have anyone close enough to Rye House to be classed as local rivals, but the team I enjoy beating most is Berwick for obvious reasons ;)

When I first started going in the mid 80's, meetings versus Hackney, Arena Essex & Mildenhall were always the grudge matches and although Wimbledon were a London side I didn't really get the feeling they were disliked when they came to Rye

Cradley as buying success by paying riders well over the rate set down.

Not to mention some of their more obnoxious supporters Edited by Shadders

Agree that no PL team is universally disliked.

Since the PL was formed Sheffield's main rivals were Hull until they closed down, plenty of banter on the terraces at those meetings especially in the Sean Wilson/Paul Thorp days. We then had a few disagreements with King's Lynn around 2006/7 and Jonny Chapman in particular. No rivalries like that anymore which is a shame.

Well, this has turned out to be a disappointing thread to read....I expected Edinburgh to be declared the villains of the PL due to us having the BSPA boss manipulating everything in our favour :D

Many a true word spoken in jest
