HenryW
A few big names going out in that round today. Having said that, it did seem to be by far the strongest round of the three, so I guess some had to miss out.

SteveLyric2
Well done to Poole's Vaclav Milik for winning the Terenzano round with 14 points after a run-off with Nicolai Jacobsen!! Full results/links are in the 'International Speedway' section! PS. Thank goodness the next round is on July 19th when Poole take their second visit to Eastbourne. A decent guest methinks!! racers and royals
It has been reported by sportowefakty that the FIM have re-iterated their rule that no more than 5 from any one nation can contest a world final. Denmark have 4 through to the u21 finals already-so if Michael Bech and Lasse bjerre at Leicester finish in the top 4-one is going to miss out. the FIM might just have a get-out because there are 2 wild-cards at every round-and wildcards are not counted in the quota. Surely they cant base it on when your qualification meeting was if say 6 from one country qualify the the kne with the worst record should miss out. Even if it means a raceoff before the 1st round to sort it out

Even if it means a raceoff before the 1st round to sort it out They do the number qualifying from that method-Leicester no 3 qualifier therefore 4 only go through-so I`m sure they can also do as I have suggested they will(not agreeing with it necessarily )
salty
Forgive me if I've missed this on another thread, but did GB give up one of their places in the qualifiers. I thought Kyle Howarth was supposed to go to Italy? Also anyone know why Garrity wasn't given a slot after his performance in the British Under 21 Final? Did he decide not to do the qualifiers again? If so, it is sad that our youngsters aren't getting this vital experience.

The top 4 from the British Under 21s (Bates, Ellis, Garrity and Nielsen) were the one's who were given places in the Qualifiers. Garrity chose not to compete. I'm not sure what happened to Howarth. As far as I know, Howarth was then supposed to go to Italy, but for reason didn't. Edited May 9, 2014 by MrMungo
Fozzie4388
According to the BSPA site. Ashley Morris replaces Berge, Kyle Howarth and Dan Greenwood are now meeting reserves.

I suppose we should be grateful that we have one on home soil. I know they are costly events to travel to for the riders, but surely there should be some sort of assistance to the riders as the experience gained is invaluable. So the best U21 rider we have,Kyle Howarth is only the meeting reserve???
Fozzie4388
So the best U21 rider we have,Kyle Howarth is only the meeting reserve??? This is because he finished 7th in the British Under 21s meaning Bates, Ellis, Garrity, Nielsen, Morris and Jacobs would get in ahead of him. Nobblytriers
For those that are interested, just taken a look at three different websites for weather forecasts and they all predict heavy rain/showers 4ish with lighter rain/showers predicted for 7ish and the remainder of the night. Leicesters track drains very well and there is a strong breeze. Hopefully this will be enough to allow the racing to go ahead.
