Wolves V Poole Ela 5/5/14

Recommended Posts

I think the pirates have a good chance of getting a point from this meeting with tai riding not fully fit and a decent reserve in charles wright, holder and pawlicki have had decent meetings there, magic will struggle as always and milik wont get many but josh should go well so overall a point is a realistic possibility.

As for nicki p, the abuse he gets is fully deserved and the better he rides the dirtier he gets. How he hasnt ended somebodys career I have no idea and if he did it would just have been a racing incident in his eyes. Only the other day I saw on the gp site he claimed he wasnt dirty and couldnt understand the abuse he gets!!

NP is a saint compared to his brother Ronni. I remember when RP tried to stick Mick Poole in the fence in the 4TT there was uproar mostly from Panthers fans seeing their man even though he was riding for the mighty CHEETAHS being tucked up by one of their riders.

ive called NP Dirty Nicki for many a year now but he is full on entertainment 90% of the time. Bit like Robbie Savage everyone hates him but would love him in their team.

Adams just been on the radio saying they should have had three points. Idiot! Said Piotr needs to learn English fast as there was no communication between him and Tai and Piotr never looked for Tai once.

Fantastic ride from Shamek when the radio commentator said it was all over after two laps and Poole riders couldn't get close to the Wolves pair. He did it at Swindon beating Kildemand from the back, and tonight he picked off the World Champion on his own track!!!!!!!

Big well done to Milik. Didn't think he would score a point but two heat wins on his first visit is way beyond expectations. Fast and smooth. A quick learner. Even Magic did his job tonight.

With Darcy it could have been 4 points, though well happy with two. Holder still nowhere near his best.

Bloody hell Steve you've got a rider who only lost his World Championship from injury & you're still coming up with excuses!!.

Who else would you want to replace Darcy who is injured & unable to ride so god knows why you've mentioned it AGAIN.

If I was Chris Holder I'd tell Matt Ford to stick it with fans like you.

Wolves dropped so many points.

Thorssell tape in heat 7 then Morris EF when on 5-1 in heat 9. Heat 14 disaster when both Proctor and Jacobs jjust simply let Wright pass them both on a white line in Smolinski style.

And finally World Champ joke of a ride in heat 15. What was he going to do on the outside?

agreed milik almost looks like a leigh adams type of style when riding will be a really good rider.

In front he's got a loverly style but when behind he over rides. He'll calm that down with experience and go on to be a good rider IMO.

Anyway, too many nice things about Poole. Matt Ford cheats and Middlo smells.

As a big Chris Holder fan its depressing to see him struggling for form. We see it in glimpses but he is nowhere near where he was before that dreadful night at Coventry.

He is the ONLY stand in we Poole fans would want. But the truth is we are not as strong as we could be at this moment. Luckily, prizes are not given out in May.

Reckon you are starting to turn into a closet Pirates fan. Boring boring Coventry or exciting, always controversial Pirates?

Come on Shawn, start chanting, Pirates! Pirates! Pirates! You know you want to.

As for Vaclav, fast and smooth when out front, a bit like Emil of a few years ago when behind.

Ward aint coming back to England. Holder wants out asap. KK wont change his schedule now hes flying. Looks like you will get to use Miezindski as your number 1!! KL absolutely nailed on for the league.

It will take time for Chris Holder to get back to his pre-Coventry crash form, when Ray Wilson went under the fence at Blackbird Road in the seventies and got trapped under the greyhounds hare rail and broke his thigh, he never got back to his pre-crash form.... It's a bit different with the fact Chris Holder has age on his side, but some riders just don't regain their form after horror crashes..

Must be nice to live in blunsdon terraces fantasy land!! Obviously trying to deflect their own teams deficiencies!

We dont deny it, we are gash this year. No need to deflect anything.

Good signing coming in to replace Smart too. David Mason deserves a crack at the top level. Just the sort of rider the draft was designed to help.

Said Piotr needs to learn English fast as there was no communication between him and Tai and Piotr never looked for Tai once.

Well that's wrong because Piotr was waiting and watching for Tai on the home straight laps 1 and 2.

The predicted weather as expected came to ruin what should have been a great Bank Holiday Monday. Likewise the Wolves riders certainly did a good job of ruining ours.

We had the meeting under control and looking comfortable for 6 heats before the calamities started.

Jacob rushing thru the tapes and going back 15 Metres - Why? Surely Joe from the gate would have been a better option. The EF for Ash also was a costly one for the team.

Heat 9 - again Wolves reserves gate and are clear before Ash AGAIN costs us points with another EF.

Heat 12 - Milik moved big time but it was called back - cancels out the Wolves movement in Heat 2.

Heat 14 - plain ridiculous. With Wright right in the picture why on earth did Ty persevere around the outside leaving himself vulnerable?? Why did he not protect Joe in 2nd. Joe likewise decided to drift out to wide allowing Wright thru. Massive schoolboy errors.

Heat 15 - Tai could not have been watching heat 15 as he replicated the move Ty did in the previous heat. Why didn't Piotr (clearly quicker) just let Woffy go clear instead of trying to team ride and in this instance failing?? In fairness the pair have done well in some of the big heats and have developed a decent understanding. However with Piotr so quick and Woffy so average speed wise it seemed obvious what the solution was the minute the boys gated.

It is no surprise to me Poole got something out of the meeting because at the moment we are a sitting duck for teams to take points off whilst we have Woffy struggling.

They took there chances when they were gifted to them so earned the draw on merit.

WOLVES

TAI - Nice to see him get a win in heat 6 and whilst he looks slightly quicker he is still way slower than the other top end boys. Heat 15 was a calamity. 2/5

JACOB - was right in the mix in the opening laps but had his run blocked in heat 10 when looking like an unlikely win could have been on the cards, a costly tapes exclusion also to add to his mixed night. 2.5/5

RICKY - Excellent move on Holder in heat 6 but failed to bet any of the Pirates top 3. Still in the mix but in a much tougher position now. 2.5/5

TY - Scored in every heat, beat Holder, Milik and Grajczonek. However Heat 14 was a huge costly mistake. 2/5

PIOTR - In the battle of the brothers he won 2-1. Not that i`m surprised. 3 superb wins to again show that he is fast becoming the new master of Monmore. The lad is such a quick learner. MOTM 3.5/5

JOE - back to the lad we saw at the start of the season. Won his reserves rides with ease however was unable to hold his position in the 14th, mostly due to Proctor failing to do his job. 3.5/5

POOLE

Holder - very up and down. Certainly not showing his GP form on a track he likes riding and rates. His failure in the big heats could have been costly for the pirates if we hadn't given them so many opportunities. 2/5

Milik - if he gated he was quick and comfortable. Considering he was expected to do nothing he more than did his job... and some. 2.5/5

Shamek - impressive. Certainly has matured as a rider and the classiest of the Pirates tonight. 4/5

Grajczonek - like milik so did his job. 2.5/5

Janowski - much better than last season when he looked like an amateur in training.Combined with Shamek for a vital maximum in heat 10 that turned the meeting. 2.5/5

Wright - more than adequate replacement for Kyle. Certainly helped earn Poole points tonight with his tenacity in heat 14. 3/5

Crang - First time i have seen him and heard good things about him. Looked out of his depth. Still he got a point which is something the sacked rider wouldnt have so another advantage to Poole. :P 0/5

Just a suggestion would you guys be happy if Fast Freddie returned to Wolves in place of Woffy.
