Nellie
Thank you, Nellie - I don't know what tagging is but I think I can see what it means Has Pawlicki responded? Not yet. I'd be surprised if he does, as both Pawlickis strike me as being quite quiet. He certainly isn't a prolific tweeter. montie
As always there are two sides to the story. We have heard what a handful of Poole fans think and a professional opinion from Cook. The truth may lie somewhere between. However, there is no history of Cook being a dirty rider so the likelihood is that whatever happened was unintentional.   I wouldnt call a cowardly tweet as he legs it North from the stadium a professional opinion really---I think Pawlicki`s response is far more professional to be honest, simply say nothing and get on with it  Did Cook get kicked out of a meeting some place last year for mouthing off or am i wrong  Hes a talent rider is Cook but he needs to keep his mouth shut and get on with it---the mouth that even prompted the Workington promotion to get shut i believe Edited May 8, 2014 by montie

SteveLyric2
Shovlars opinion of Cook is well known, so anything he says can be taken with a very large pinch of salt. We have all seen on numerous occasions that he is incapable of being objective where Poole are concerned. His opinions carry no credibility. Â As always there are two sides to the story. We have heard what a handful of Poole fans think and a professional opinion from Cook. The truth may lie somewhere between. However, there is no history of Cook being a dirty rider so the likelihood is that whatever happened was unintentional. Â As for the rolling allegations, yes, I have seen him roll, as do many others, particularly when having to go from a poor gate. If he was the serial offender Shovlar would have you believe it is unlikely he would have been voted by the referees as their rider of the season last year. Â I don't approve of rolling but is it any different than all of the other things done to gain an unfair advantage. Staying down when a rider falls on the wrong end of a 5-1, doctoring the starting gates, delaying a signing so horses for courses guests can be used, even not repairing ruts to give the home team an advantage. Now who would sink that low. Â Shovlar needs to remember that he is an advocate of the win at all costs mentality. Perhaps he thinks that should apply only to Poole. Â I was sat in the grandstand close to 2 of Cook's sponsors who were quite frankly embarrassed by his behaviour last night!! Â As far as being 'professional' and 'no history of being a dirty rider' - I wonder if Ipswich fans would agree. Prior to last night I had no issues with Cook and applauded him as I do when anyone guests for Poole - BUT last night he was 'Out of Order'!! I don't have any problems with a bit of crowd gesticulation - it all adds to the atmosphere, but as someone has already said, if Nicki Pedersen had done what 'Bay City' Cook did there would be pages and pages of rightful criticism.
ouch
Once the ref had marked his card Cook scores 1 0 1. Coincidence? No. Similar to MPT's 0300 he made the gate in his first and that's all that matters down there. Gate and go. One thing Cook needs to sort is not letting his head drop when bad decisions are made. He seems to dwell on it and it effects his performance. Rise above it mate.

MrMungo
Did Cook really fence Pawlicki or not because I did not see it.Nope. Cook was on a 5-1 with Cigar, and he rode the outside line (where you had to be), it was obvious from how Pawlicki entered the third bend that he was going for the blast round the outside but as he got to the 4th bend, there was no space and he had to bail out. In his next heat Pawlicki binned it on the other side of the track almost knocking off both BV riders in the process..surprised the ref didn't exclude Cook for that one too! Â Unfortunately stuff like that will happen when the fastest line is about a foot away from the fence. Cook rode where he needed to ride. In the very next heat, Worrall didn't, and Grajczonek squeezed around him on the final bend. Â Claims that Cook should've been thrown out of the meeting are absolutely ludicrous. I think some Poole supporters must live on Cloud Cuckoo Land.
Mr Blobby
Was Cook in front of Pawlicki entering the 3rd bend?
jamlad
Once the ref had marked his card Cook scores 1 0 1. Coincidence? Cook is a complete Tool , a total plonker who thinks he is way better than he is . Has to use his massive rollers to keep up with the big guns, if that fails plough them into the fence . He isnt and will never be another Darcy Ward and one of these days will get a clout if he doesnt keep his big mouth shut . Wouldn't have him back gift wrapped

Crazy robin
Hopefully not - far too professional!!!  That's quite funny when you consider what your team manager & Darcy have done on Twitter the last 12 months.  People in glass houses springs to mind or are you saying those 2 aren't profesional then? I have respect for your postings. You seem to be referring to his response to the booing from the crowd rather than the incident with Pawlicki. I don't know what the reaction was but that wasn't what I was commenting on. Â I know nothing of the history with Workington and I am not sure what you refer to at Ipswich. Perhaps you could enlighten me. Â What I do know is that Belle Vue had a problem with his attitude when he first ride for us but Cook was man enough to admit he needed to change and has done so. Otherwise, he wouldn't be the Captain. Â Cook can come in for criticism from some PL fans but that has always been the cross that the top dog in any division has to bear and at the moment he is head and shoulders above anyone else in that league. An incident in the Ipswich pits last season with Ben Barker. Â I thought it might be that but I'm not sure what that has to do with any history of dirty riding.
