Poole V Belle Vue 7/5

Recommended Posts

In fact i will look forward to catching up with mates in 2 weeks time in Poole, Cycle Speedway related you understand. :t:

Your dislike is as clear as Gavans, and where is he know?

As for Cycle speedway, a good friend of mine Rob Heywood, who films at Poole, used to be pretty nifty on a bike. Rode for Poole I think.

Can't wait to see if Steve comes back with a reply or simply ignores it, is away on business or lost his signal like he usually does.

It wasn't Steve who said he was with Cooks sponsors.

But don't let that get in the way of you jumping on Steve's posts like you normally do.

It was me who was sat close to 2 of Cook's sponsors (see post #152).

I was actually sat immediately behind them. They are from a company who sponsor Poole and who also sponsor Cook (Many Poole sponsors also sponsor riders in other teams and disciplines, not all of whom are Poole assets, but that's a different topic)!

I know what they said and how they reacted, so I will not comment further on this issue.

Reply to Cooks guff? Shock horror probe he thinks he was innocent.

Dirtiest move seen at Poole in years. No ifs, buts or maybe's. Everyone there saw it. Not a single person who was in the stadium has come forward to defend the move. Not one. That tells it's own story.

Cook saying his tweet was banter. Well for banter the other person has to be aware of the tweet. Why didn't Cook tag Pawlicki so he would get the 'joke'?

Whilst I wouldn't say overall that Cook could be classed as a dirty rider, he certainly let himself down in that race by getting himself in a rage, first with the start marshal who was only relaying a message from the ref, then on track with a very dangerous move which fenced Pawlicki. It wasn't a case of him being in front either. The riders were side by side and Cook just took Pawlicki wider and wider and into the fence.

Really, people on here are trying to defend the indefensible on this occasion. He had a rush of blood and the result was an insulted start marshal and opposition rider sprawled on the track.

Totally predictable garbage.

If you bothered to read the thread you would see there was at least one person in the stadium who saw it differently to you and who confirms that Cook spoke to Pawlicki afterwards, which destroys your rant about it being deliberate because he didn't go to see him on track.

I reply to Steve's posts as a conversation & he can stick up for himself without you poking your nose in.

For the record I got the posts wrong as it was Skidder who said it so apologies to Steve.

I thought the referee had already decided that. The question to be answered is whether it was the deliberate and dangerous act described by Shovlar.

As I posted before I think he had a sudden rush of blood to the head and is probably guilty of misjudging how much room was there. As I said I don't consider Cookie a dirty rider, I just think he wasn't thinking.

Good to know that the video hasn't changed your opinion.

a totally fair comment unbiased. Cook isnt dirty just misjudged the space though to be fair if Pawlicki used his head he could have shut off. Kildemand did the same to Nicholls at Lynn on sky the other night but Nicholls used his head, guess Pawlicki is younger and more prone to trying to go for gaps that arent really there.

Just waiting for Shovlar to admit it was not dirty riding but i doubt we will ever see it

Not sure why people keep mentioning the Nicholl/Kildemand incident. For me it was a totally different scenario. Kildemand falls in front of Nicholls and Nicholls, with lightning quick reactions, laid it down.

The silence tells us what we need to know both about the incident and the man who said it was a deliberately dangerous move. Of course he wasn't the only one.
