Poole V Belle Vue 7/5

Recommended Posts

BV should not be this bad away from home! Thought be a bit closer.

Would have been nice to get closer but pretty much as I predicted. Just remember though that score at Kirky Lane was almost identical but in reverse, 51-39 to Aces.

That's true (I tend to wipe Poole losses from my mind!) ;)

Lakeside meeting going to be interesting if Ellis rides like that again.

How was the track? I guess it was ok as nobody has been moaning about it yet..

Great to see Noddy back to his best with a paid 4-ride max.

Track was a bit dusty after the threat of rain, but very smooth nonetheless.

Very disappointed with Cook - clearly not competitive unless he gets a rolling start and rightly warned by the ref. The deliberate taking out of Pawlicki in heat 6 on the 4th bend coming into the straight was simply dangerous and deserved more than just a race exclusion!!

A good solid win by the Pirates.

Nothing to do with the cheating rolling. He just completely fenced Pawlicki.

Tom Daley has been on the phone, he wants to know if Pawlicki would like to do the next series of Splash?

Very one sided affair tonight and the score could have been much wider but for Poole taking their foot off the pedal in heats 14 and 15. Add in the nailed on 5-1 with the BV riders miles behind and then Shamek decides to go and inspect the air fence coming out of bend 2 lap 3. a 5-1 turned into a 2-7 and a 9 point swing.

Several excellent battles tonight, highlighted by the Joshinators amazing swoop around Worral on the last bend, and Noddys quite death defying ride around the boards to join Magic on a 5-1.

Good stuff. Ex England and Tottenham player Darren Anderton in the crowd cheering on the boys.

For Poole:

Holder was back to form. Easily his best performance of the season.

Josh was excellent and my MOTM. Give heat 15 for his hard work.

Magic wasn't at his best but battled.

Milik did his job and was unlucky in heat 14 when he shed a chain off the last bend when in a safe second.

Shamek was quick and should have had another paid win. Badly fenced by Cook and lucky to walk away.

Ellis did a very good job.

Hopwood battled but found it tough.

For BV:

Zagar was fast but found the Poole boys tough to beat.

Palm Toft had one excellent ride.

Cook won his first race fairly, rolled in his next and then fenced Shamek. Crowd vented their feelings towards him and clearly it had an affect as he did nothing after that!

Worral battled.

Nicholls age is creeping up on him. Found the pace a tad too much.

Nielsen did a good job.

Lee Payne felt the pain. Clearly could see the lad was trying but way out of his depth. Hit the fence and bike hit him. Hope he is OK and crowd gave him big cheer in ambulance. More guts than skill at the moment.

So three easy points for Poole. Belle vue did nothing and Brum looked a much tighter outfit last week. I am afraid BV look also rans and cant see them in the playoffs with this type of form. Whilst there was only a point in it in aggregate, BV used t/rs and Poole didn't bother with a reserve change in heat 14 or use the unbeaten Holder in 15.

Next up is Lakeside a week tonight. Will they do better?

To fence someone at high speed, then not admit liability is both shocking and disgraceful. He deserved every boo he got. Shame the ref didn't exclude him from the meeting.

Too scared to tag Pawlicki in his tweet though! Coward. Love that Darcy did it for him :) Oh and he claims he didn't roll either. Comedy.

Wonder if Poole will sign up Hopwood seeing as he did ok - maybe just run guests to suit each meeting tho i guess is best?? :P

Surprised that the Aces didn't hold things closer.

Clearly he didn't think he touched him

Didn't touch the tapes but rolled, got pulled back by the ref and warned. Our start marshal tried to inform him that the ref had issued a warning but was met with a torrent of abuse. The boy needs to grow up.
