Berwick V Sheffield Koc 2nd Leg 5/05/2014 @7pm

Recommended Posts

Berwick must surely appeal this awful decision.

At least if we lose.

I think the Promotion were naive to arrange a KO Cup fixture with a key home rider missing.A league match Ok but you only get one chance in the cup.

To be fair Berwick knew Bellego was going to be contesting the Under-21 this season when they signed, so they knew he would miss some Saturday night meetings. But your right, Bellego sitting in a pit in Germany this evening doesn't do Berwick`s chances of getting to a KOC Final any good at all.

That's the point ,they knew the dates he would be missing.

I was at Edinburgh last night and the word was that Sheffield will be using R/R for Ty Proctor ! ??

Who according to the BSPA website is NOT in their declared 1 to 7 and most certainly has never ridden for them ! How is this possible ? SPEEDWAY UNDER THE CURRENT LEADERSHIP IS A JOKE if this is allowed to happen, totally against the rules as far as i can see, No wonder supporters are walking away from our once great sport

Should Sheffield keep this meeting close or indeed win, I`m sure this point will be made from the centre green. :D

How can you deny a rider a chance at World Under 21 glory or at least chance

I`ve no problem with Bellego going for any title, best of luck to him, but as Fromafar says Berwick only get one go at KOC glory, being without Bellego affects that chance greatly. This doesn't apply in this case, I posted the same when Franchetti, Franc etc missed meetings.

Well thanks to this whole proctor thing we at Edinburgh don't have a meeting next week. Sheffield were going to come up next week for the rearranged fixture but they then signed proctor who is missing next Friday as he will be riding for wolves. Now they have decided they aren't going to come up next Friday now because of it.

This doubling up stuff wasn't so bad when it didn't effect PL teams but now it does it's a pain

Surely it is better to go with R/R for Adam Roynon or use a 3 pointer rather than have the SCB amend the result later and have all invalid points deducted.

Your jumping the gun a bit, as far as we know Berwick haven't put in any protest yet, maybe they will this evening when the ref turn up.

How could Sheffield have gone with r/r for Roynon, he is fit to ride, it was Sheffields choice to get rid of him. This whole thing would never have come about had the first leg taken place last Thursday.

Hahahaha that is ridiculous . You cant sack a rider then try to use r/r for him . I know the speedway rules are open to manipulation , but surely not haha

I would hope that if they do dare to use r/r for Roynon then we ride under protest!

Hoping for a big win for us tonight so I don't have to bite the fingers too much on Thursday!

Oh, the wonderful world of The BSPA and it's rulebook, no wonder we drink so much :drink::drink::drink::drink::drink:

True , but if Sheffield get away with that one tonight . When it comes to our meeting tomorrow , Dimitri Berge is injured so can we use r/r for James Grieves ? Just a thought

Not really, only thing that's keeping me interested in these meetings is with me and Matty having a fivers bet on who's going through! We'll only be knocked by Edinburgh if we do go through.

so we know Kus, Wethers, & reserves can take Davids rides tonight, who are all eligible to take Proctors rides for the opposition.
