Wake Up Plymouth

Yes indeed, 1968-70. For more info see the Devils website here:

Select the History tab and then Rider Index. Chris features about half way down the 1931 - 2005 section of the index.

This news has made the Ancient Mariner a very happy bunny!

A stronger main body and at any one given time a powerful reserve who can score plenty of points, taking a lot of the pressure off Roland Benko who we already know can score well at home. All round a much better balance to the team.

And now the Devils progress in the PLKOC for the first time ever. So the Ancient Mariner's cup doth truly runneth over

What would round off a very good day rather nicely, would be for the earlier stone throwers on this thread (there are possibly 4 of them that in particular spring to mind and I'm sure they know who they are) to post again, stating if they think the Devils promotion are still asleep and if so, why.

Well said Sir!!!! :t::approve: :approve:

Good Luck Plymouth - except against the mighty 'Diamonds' of course. :o;):)

Great offer on Groupon for anyone visiting Plymouth in the next few months.

This website will not allow me to post a link.

Go to Groupon and search for Plymouth Speedway.

At least 50% off.! :lol:

Wow thanks for the info. Have just purchased one meaning myself and my partner get in for £5.50 each instead of £14 each. Also sent to a friend as a gift. Wasnt very clever to advertise it on the Plymouth speedway website though, as they will now be losing money from regulars who would have made full price! Edited by Former devil

The gamble is that they number of people coming along will make up for the reduction and more. It will hopefully open up Plymouth Speedway to a new audience. I sincerely hope the Promotion are successful with this.

Newcastle have done it a couple of times - I am not privy to how successful it was - but - there did seem to be a more folk there than usual.

I think that certain Promoters can only be praised for exploring any and every new avenue to increase their revenue streams. It is the sort of forward thinking that Speedway needs.
