Adam Roynon Dropped By Sheffield

Recommended Posts

Bit of a underhand move by Sheffield, surprised at Proctor he should know how it feels when Somerset stood on him from a large height  . Nice to see Nielsen dropping to reserve though just in time for our PL meeting next weekend :t:

Pray, tell, what was underhand about it?

Whether you agree with it or not, they have dropped a rider who had lowered his average by some way and replaced him with someone they think will be better. Whether they are right, or not, only time will tell.

Good luck to both riders.

Adam riding alongside Rusty, Dimitri or Anders could be very scary as he is accident prone ( not his fault generally )but a combination of riding with any of them could be very scary indeed. I already watch Dimitri through my fingers !!

Adam won't fit if we were to drop Mark, as it would leave 7.05 pts - Adam is on 7.09. Not sure he would come IMO.

or even back to redcar in place of hall and the oy=ther guy..chin up adam..

He has more chance of being nettled to death than coming back to Redcar! After all the help, support and loyalty shown to him by the Bears and their fans he soon took his pieces of silver to move elsewhere. Good luck to him finding at place elsewhere but it won't be at the STeMP ! :nono:

It was going to be a tough ask for Adam to maintain that starting average especially being a No5.

Hope Royno gets fixed up I'd happily take him at Berwick on 5.60 for Jensen, never been el natural at Berwick

Hope you are taking the mick, he has caused and been in too many accidents. Remember Brian Havelock saying he would not have him near Redcar again.

So has Nicki Pederson does that mean he is a bad rider, you wouldn't sign him?

Roynon in full flight is a sight to behold, Shocking gater but good points scorer on the road no reason why he couldn't score what Jensen is scoring from reserve. This wont happen, point being I rate Roynon sadly he has been on the receiving end of some bad luck. He was dropped very quickly by Workington in 2010 as well.

I've got really mixed feelings about this. I think the team is stronger with Ty Proctor in the side but Adam didn't deserve to be dropped at this stage of the season. The other thing is that Adam was riding for Sheffield and was committed to that but Ty is riding for Wolves as well and, as happened with another Wolves loanee last season and the season before, there seemed to be a drop in commitment when riding in the Premier League.

I'll still be there on Thursday though and wish Adam all the best.

His accident at Kings Lynn was terrible luck, he broke his leg at Rye House, a simple crash that saw him slide off gracefully into the fence only to be hit by another fallen riders bike, awful luck 99 times out of a hundred a nothing crash. His career has been blighted by terrible luck but what he really needs is a run in a team to get back to where he should be. Lovely to watch around Rye House and great to have in the team for some big away scores. I reckon i speak for all to say he would be welcomed with open arms at Hoddesdon

He could go to Plymouth instead of Simota, who is only a temporary rider (I think)

Then they could replace injured Newman with a rider up to 6.37 points

Robin Aspegren?

Joszef Tabaka?

He is on a7 + av so couldn't replace Jensen as you have suggested,Personaly I think your post are just tongue in cheek to get attention not a lot of takers though.

I personally think you should re-read my message I rate Adam Roynon.

I'm no Sportsman or a Speedway rider so I can't begin to understand how many SERIOUS injuries the guy has had.

Roynon has an all action style similar to that of Lee Complin (a rider I'm sure you enjoyed watching) probably never going to be a No1 now but he's an exciting rider who can score points on most tracks

Exciting to watch maybe, but in the new averages Roynons average has dropped quite considerably, even allowing for these rolling averages, so IMO Sheffield are quite within their rights in making this change.
