Poole Vs Brummies 30/4

Recommended Posts

Plus he is likely to come out with the usually troll stuff anyway. No wonder he is seen as such a joke by the majority of posters.

Just the mighty Stars looking like not dropping points, as i predicted.

Dropping points to Brum.................................. cant wait to hear the excuses on this one

Points?? Was only one point! Feel a bit bad for Brum as draw probably fair result.

First of all well done to Brum on a deserved point. They battled well on a track made slippery due to a shower early on. Poole certainly not at their best tonight but got the win in the end.

No harm in dropping a point and it wont change a thing in Poole's season but certainly shines a light on Brums.

Plenty of dirt down and good condition early on but the shower made times a couple of seconds slower before improving again in the last few heats.

Heat 15 was a cracking race. Shamek missed it but managed to finally to battle past an impressive Nermark and what looked like 3 points, only for Nermark to come back under ( surely no inside passing at Poole?) and retake third. Shamek then cut under him off the last bend but gave Nermark room and he got to the line by half a wheel. Great race, though there were several other very good battles. Not perhaps as good a meeting as the Coventry and Swindon clashes but certainly very entertaining. Well done to both teams.

For Poole Holder did his job as did Josh.

Both Magic and Janowski did fine.

Milik was good value.

Kyle was in too much of a rush in the first ride but settled well and beat the riders he was supposed to beat.

Smart did his job in his first ride but then found the pace too much.

For Brum, Kennet had one good ride, Skornicki showed his liking to the Poole track but tailed off, King didn't do much buut Barker rode well. Pick of the bunch however was Nermark who gated well and battled for the point in heat 15, so rider of the night for me. The reserves did OK.

Brum celebrated like they had won the league but it was an achievement coming to Poole and taking a point off the Champs so well done to them.

But a wins a win and keeps us nicely on course for a playoff berth. Good stuff.

With Pooles poor result v Brum and Kings Lynn's narrow win over Leicester it just goes to show the top 2 are not the foregone conclusion many may have thought. It all looks very much game on. Has to be good news all round

How do you work that out ..both won and they will be in the top two .

very strange how shovlar isn't disappointed! been banging on about it being a rout but thinks it is 'good stuff' poole scraped a point! tad contradictory but the usual crappy match report we all know and laugh at. funny no mention of the crap track and riders out of control. my he tends to gloss over most things.

true poole fans should be disappointed in dropping a point to what essentially has been the leagues poorest side so far (no offence Birmingham fans) but this clown is happy!

if Birmingham can get a point then the top sides of Lynn and Belle Vue must be favourites to win there

well done the brummies. With that show Kings Lynn have nothing to fear from the pirates

What you fail to consider is that Darcy Ward is missing and he's a better rider than Chris Holder.

Also Milk's current GSA is 6.33, He has 3 more home meetings and 2 away before activating his average and If he somehow keeps it above 6 then the likes of Walasek and Madsen could well come into the picture and If he drops it, THJ is available on a handy GSA

Any dropped points against the fodder of the league could be costly.

You cant blame them At least teams can come to Poole now knowing they are susceptible to more dropped points and aren't the force some like to think they are.

The Stars remain the stand out side having dropped no points at all.

Oops indeed but I am not the only one to have got it wrong. After a torrid start to the season they certainly raised their game tonight and deserved a point. Quite pleased for them actually.

That`s the spirit, bet the pursed lips hurt tho.

Well done Brummies - good value for their point and good to see some travelling support!!

As for the so-called 'crap' track with no shale>! There was much more shale on the well-watered track tonight which riders on both sides just couldn't handle in the early heats, Then the rain came and made it a bit of a lottery mid-meeting, but some great racing in the latter heats!

Not a lot wrong with Mr Shovlar's report - in fact pretty fair I thought.

Also great gesture (as promised) by Matt Ford - Adult admission for next Wednesday v Belle Vue is discounted to £10 - one of the 'special offers' at selected 2014 meetings!! :t:

Eastie and Lakeside prepare better race tracks than Poole. Wimborne Road is a accident waiting to happen and it needs sorting fast.

So why isn't Poole's track good then as Lakeside curator is part of the team that look after track with the greyhound guy?

For the life of me I can't understand why for the last few years, the Poole track is so poor?......Come on guys get it sorted - even if it means it's always in our (Poole) favour!

I think you have hit the nail on the head with the last part of your post. Matt Ford is well aware there are bumps in the track and has attempted to get them out, especially the one on the third bend. But the issue is something to do with drainage and the fact that the track is at sea level.

I believe Matt has now decided the bumps are there, part of the track, the Poole riders know where they are and it gives us a bit of an advantage where a smooth track wouldn't.

It's not really that much of an issue as in the latter heats we were treated to some cracking races with heat 15 one of the races of the season, even if it didn't come out in our favour.

Plenty of dirt down last night, racing lines inside and out. Chris Harris would have been in his element.

Stop trying to change the team when the season has only just started..............you really have got no idea what goes on behind the scenes.............and what have you got against Milik.............every time its him you want to drop when he has not been here long............give the guy a break ffs............if anyone goes it will not be Milik............

Go back and troubleshoot your own team instead of interfering in things you know nothing about.........
