Poole Vs Brummies 30/4

Recommended Posts

Uh!!! :unsure::unsure:

Its not like Poole Quay 7 to get many things right.

You've said this a few times now, there I was in the belief that Wolves had beaten Kings Lynn at home.

They have taken points out of EVERY meeting, sign of champions.

I do not have a clue what you are blabbering about. Give me a question, and I will respond, no problem. Only a sensible question though.

Sorry to gloat, Rout, 60 plus, Poole couldent get 50. :t:

Had a good day, pleasant bit of sunshine, nice walk by the quay and meal, got my rock, 2 sticks.

Nice Meeting up with some of the supporters from last season, good chat outside, great racing on a rough track, made worse by the wet conditions, but its the same for both teams and for the want of a decent number 1 we would have won, Kennet had one good ride and what the hell is wrong with King I dont know.

Apart from one incident with an arse in the stand who spent the night wanting the home rides to put the away riders in the fence( he has a short memory. Holder had a coming together with the fence at Brandon and is still getting over it) and sorry to say I had to say something about his verbal abuse of Barker and then using words you dont really want in a family sport most of the night, really enjoyed it, very tense meeting from our point of view, expected to get well beaten and well pleased with the fight the lads put up.

See you in June for the next one.

I see Poole Quay 7/internetman et al is still using personal insults as a reply. Nothing changes.

Its funny, its the same Poole fans that run to the mods to report abuse of language.

I've given up trying to have a sensible discussion with it, it always resorts in personal attacks.

Thank god i only get to see highlighted posts and i am not surprised nothing changes.

Don`t know why you are bothering getting into a discussion, its a waste of energy.

Not sure if I'm correct, but I think that is the first or maybe only the second time Poole have beaten Birmingham at home in a regular league match except for the thrashing in the Play off final last season??

So Poole always seem to struggle to beat (or draw) against Birmingham at Wimborne Road.

Edited to appologise to Stevebrum for quoting the wrong post.

He really is a strange one. The post he is referring to of mine, was nothing to do with Poole, just a reference to the multi-alias one!

I think you have hit the nail on the head with the last part of your post. Matt Ford is well aware there are bumps in the track and has attempted to get them out, especially the one on the third bend. But the issue is something to do with drainage and the fact that the track is at sea level.

I believe Matt has now decided the bumps are there, part of the track, the Poole riders know where they are and it gives us a bit of an advantage where a smooth track wouldn't.

It's not really that much of an issue as in the latter heats we were treated to some cracking races with heat 15 one of the races of the season, even if it didn't come out in our favour.

Plenty of dirt down last night, racing lines inside and out. Chris Harris would have been in his element.

Never did I ever think I would hear "home track advantage" described as we know where the holes in our track are and you don't . No wonder the sport is on its knees !

Weymouth in the early eighties had a massive 'home track advantage' for the same reason......The home riders knew where the holes were......Not much has changed for track preparation in this country in the last thirty odd years has it!!!!

Very strange. That`s why i keep him on ignore. Have seen no evidence that its manners have got any better or the personal attacks are a thing of the past.

Good luck with trying to make any sense with its replies. :t:

Vaclav is a little star with huge potential. Fast, still learning the quickest way around Poole and doing a decent enough job away from home. Needs to learn English though!

Exactly my point............

What is going on with this thread, getting like Jeremy Kyle and Gavan isn't even involved! My opinion of him might have gone up a tiny bit.

Why can't people like Stevebrum just congratulate Birmingham on getting a point instead of implying Birmingham are rubbish and Poole are rubbish cos we don't thrash them. Would really annoy me if I was a Birmingham fan. Give credit where it's due!

I know people hate comparisons to football but I'm gonna do one anyway. Southampton won at Liverpool earlier in the season and Sunderland beat Chelsea, doesn't make Liverpool and Chelsea rubbish teams though cos they didn't beat them the opposition just played better on the day. You always get the odd unexpected result otherwise sport would be very boring.

Anyway well done Birmingham, always prefer a close even meeting (no tacticals need to be used) than a 60-30 meeting (unless it's against Eastbourne or Coventry) :)
