ive read somewhere else that cradleys crowds are down this season? havent been myself so cant make too much of a judgement, but maybe some of the fans dont want to see total maulings each week and therefore voting with their feet? just imagine if cradley somehow did manage to get brady kurtz at reserve like originally planned. the outcome now would be even worse.

I think the move to bring Kurtz in lost Pearson etc alot of respect to be honest

Was clearly a move that shouldnt have been made in the interest of the NL...fair plain they have put a strong team together within rules but Kurtz would have been a step to far

Im sure i read some where that the plan was to win trophys for the area and put pressure on the right folk to help with them get there own stadium----has anything actually been done of the Stadium front???? or is it just alot of talk???

I think the crowd may be down very slightly this year but its not significant. I think there are still well over 1000 attending. Not bad to say we are 10 miles outside our catchment area on a 'school' night with virtually no Wolves fans attending.

I do know for a fact that they sold more season tickets this year than ever before which is a good sign.

Interesting note in the programme from Gary Patchett "We have lofty ambitions for our club which extend beyond and very possibly before securing a site for a stadium of our own."

My interpretation is that they must be considering the possibility of PL racing next season. That's just my guess with no inside info at all.

I think they are slightly down, I would hazard a guess at no more than 1 hundred or so, however as the opponents standard improves and more meaningful meetings come along, they will return, its probably the supporters who have always picked and chosen, i myself am one of the missing purely and simply bcuz i live and work Bournemouth area, so a 7/8 hour round trip is out of the question on a tuesday evening, to be honest after watching the Buxton No contest, i can understand people staying away, and i mean that without disrespecting the efforts of the Buxton riders.

If I was a Cradley supporter, one disappointing thing is the lack of riders that the club has brought through since returning - Tom Perry being the only one. It certainly feels like the Cradley promotion play 'fantasy league speedway' each winter with the 'power' the club has to attract riders but the fans surely can't get to 'love' the team as 5 or 6 change every year.

Do you think if any of Scunthorpes raw novices goes on to become proficient and therefore have a £££s value they will be riding for Scunthorpe in the future ? Me. being the cynic that I am thinks not , they will be sold for profit .

IIRC that's the problem. Other clubs came in and promised riders 'the sun, moon and stars' before they were old enough to be signed up with Scunthorpe. IIRC one rider stayed and the others signed for other clubs. Rob Godfrey didn't get a penny...

Having read through a number of threads today it seems you have a problem with Cradley and Pearson is this something you need to tell us about? Your numerous innocently written posts have a common theme of seemingly encouraging Cradley supporters to question the motives of Pearson and his colleagues; as you are not a Cradley supporter what's your interest?
