John Leslie
Reasons for Smarts absence will have been give to and obviously accepted by the Belle Vue management and the Referee on the night. You sure about that?

Steve Shovlar
Well there you go folks - straight from the donkey's mouth. A 'supporter' that, by his own admission, doesn't care about one of his team's young, British draft riders. What's the matter Mr. Shovlar.............not enough C's, W's or Z's in his name? If you read the forum you would know I am an advocate of the draft system and hope it remains in place for years to come. There you have it folks. Shov is ok with riders picking and missing meetings. No wonder he gets so much stick. I have no idea why Smart missed the meeting but as we broke no rules I have no problem with it. Not sure why others do either. the replacement rider was completely legitimate and below Smart in the rankings. and the award for prize pillock goes to?????? Smart went missing and was replaced by a better rider......FACT!!!!! Wrong again, but then again you get nothing right. Now THAT is a fact. The replacement was below Smart. FACT. Think you have just won the prize pollock award.
Pirate Nick
Do you know that for a FACT? You sure about that? Fairly sure as if an acceptable reason wasnt given then surely the Belle Vue management would have protested and the ref not allowed Olly to ride? SPEEDY69
I really cannot understand the secrecy around Smart's absence - if it was for personal reasons then that would have been reported by now. If any rider wants to miss a fixture the reason is always publicised - committment clash, injury etc. I've never known a situation where no-one knows, or lets on. The fact that this has happened with Poole just adds to the suspicion I'm afraid, given their wish for squads and picking horses for courses. If any club were to arrange an away fixture at a track where you know one of your team will be missing, but they are hopeless there, is another way to strengthen your chances - I wonder if this has happened before? foreverblue
I will try to ask Lee tonight as you are all so worried about his well being and where he has been.
E I Addio
I hope we retain the title with LOADS of controversy. LOL!! Hmm.... most people with any self-respect would prefer to see their team win on fair and square a level playing field so there is no doubt as to who are the worthy champions. You do yourself do credit with that sort of stupid comment. Especially as we all know what sort of childish tantrums to expect if Poole loose the title after a match with loads of controversy

In actual fact Greenwood was decided to be better than Smart before this meeting, just does not come into effect until tomorrow FACT.
Agrotron
I will try to ask Lee tonight as you are all so worried about his well being and where he has been. Not a case of worry its a case of not being told where are reserve rider is and why he was not included in the line up, with lack of information given I mean if there is a genuine excuse to why he was missing then great but to not have any information regarding his absence is a P take. I think myself, Shovlar,SteveBrum and Gavan should all go out for a nice meal somewhere maybe have so Steak and Kidney pie and chips or something.
John Leslie
Since we know Smart was neither injured nor riding in a higher priority fixture, how can he be riding tonight? He should be serving a ban like others always have when they have withheld their services.

In actual fact Greenwood was decided to be better than Smart before this meeting, just does not come into effect until tomorrow FACT.So then he was a lesser rider until tomorrow. FACT. you agree? So Poole were within the rules as usual. A rider can be replaced by another providing he is a three pointer. If Holder was out for with no explanation, a three pointer. if Smart is out, a three pointer. Nothing to see here move along please.

I gave up taking the forum seriously ages ago but there is a difference between grown up witty banter and the childish drivel you and Gavan hurl at each other almost continuously these days. Any suggestions on who would like to be the referee! Peter Clarke. ,He could declare them all unfit without an examination by the track doctor and for once he would get it right
scribbler
For gods sake don't take it so seriously. it was just a bit of banter aimed at certain posters. Strange that. Personally, I banter with friends. You seem to class name calling as banter when it's in your posts but report the same sort of comments to mods to get them banned. As usual - one rule for Poole (BSF members) and another rule for everyone else...

Same rules Scribbler, it's just it seems that one side makes a habit of bending/breaking them. All in the interests of controversy of course......
