StevePark
Think I will have a Toby up with the bairn and Keith M... What's the weather like?? thats why he was the best No1 in the P.L As been as Screm is neglecting his job today. The weather is great up here, slightly overcast, with the chance of a light shower. spin king junior
Updates available here- http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/13245/berwick-newcastle-pl-2014-7pm
screm
I'm not sure but I don't think the averages change till end of May perhaps someone could clarify? Cut off has passed, meaning there will be no changes in the Berwick line up, Doolan will stay at No1 with Jensen & Carr stating at reserve. That makes a change in the riding order for the others imperative.

Bandits4eva
Superb lads 😊 nice start to the league and gives us confidence for the return tomorrow 😊
NJC71
Another very disappointing away performance from the Diamonds. Comfy home wins aren't papering over the cracks. We are not strong enough I'm afraid.
havenagotahope
I was very disappointed in Newcastle thought they would have at least taken a point. First team to come to Berwick this year and make us look quite good. If I was a Newcastle fan I'd be worried cause the Bandits are no great shakes. Arson fire
Not worried yet. A bit concerned though. Early days. you should be, we were absolutely shocking tonight.... Second best all night... In most races we were 3 or 4 lengths behind by the first bend... NJC is right we arnt strong enough and IMO need to make changes if possible, because this team isnt going nowhere fast.... It wasn't even competitive tonight.Barring robbo, I think the other 6 need to be looking over their shoulders and certainly looking in the mirror. DSC67
Good to get a win , but I feel we gave away to many easy points tonight , cant afford to do that against stronger or better performing teams
Arson fire
Must be hard to watch speedway at Berwick every week though it's just like watching follow the leader for for laps quite fast. Winning times were 64. Odd, then Henry comes out and wins in 66.6 and no one looked like passing him. Crowd was very sparce to say the least

I was at Brough a few weeks ago though vs Somerset and it was exactly the same only slower. Both one dimensional tracks generally. However put a bunch of decent riders at Berwick and you see a good meeting, the U21 final last year was brilliant.

Speedway isn't the same these days though I agree. You will never get a field full of decent riders at any level in this country though sadly. BRITISHSPEEDPOWER
Gottta have the correct kind of riders to see a good meeting at Berwick. Wide riding leg trailing nutters. Complin,Vissing,Auty,Rampala. what a race!

Speedway isn't the same these days though I agree. Yes generally but is that not because more often than not opposition riders can struggle at Brough? Berwick is very fair and i dare say away riders enjoy coming here because they know if they gate they have a great chance. Not two of the better strips in the country though.
