Kev was gesturing exactly that when the came past me :)

Yeah can't blame Kevin for being a bit mad!I I would be leaving a darkened room, with nice new underwear in around 20 minutes time had it been me who had almost been fenced at that speed by a team mate!

What's the betting on a change of the pairings for next week.Kus does not look comfortable with Wethers either. Doolan should maybe have saved his tantrum till he got back to the pits ,it certainly didn't looked very nice to display it in public with TEAM MATE.

Ps

Give me 7 Bellego's anyday.

No need, just a clear rule and a referee with a decent set of gonads to put that rule into force, for example in last weeks meeting with Workington, Ht15 was stopped for Vissing moving at the start, which he was. The re-run was allowed to go, but IMO Vissing did exactly the same thing in the re-run as he did in the first staging.

Maybe we should go back to concrete starts where the is little advantage in one gate over the other three.

When was this- it sounds like a brill idea- did it last long and why was it dropped.

Or you could have just followed the match updates on the Diamonds website- pity more clubs do not do this.

cant believe how lack lustre Newcastle were tonight although to be fair the Bandits for a change were jumping out of the starts. No doubt when sky planned there agenda for live meetings they probably thought Newcastle would have a strong team can see tuesdays live meeting being a cricket score. As for the Bandits a lot more solid from 1-6 hopefully we will put on a better performance at Brough than last seasons farce.

I was very disappointed in Newcastle thought they would have at least taken a point. First team to come to Berwick this year and make us look quite good. If I was a Newcastle fan I'd be worried cause the Bandits are no great shakes.

Many a Diamonds fan has been worried since the ITT debacle. Maybe when Robbo moves to no 1, the real Ludo will bring cakes to his homecoming party.

you should be, we were absolutely shocking tonight.... Second best all night... In most races we were 3 or 4 lengths behind by the first bend... NJC is right we arnt strong enough and IMO need to make changes if possible, because this team isnt going nowhere fast.... It wasn't even competitive tonight.

Barring robbo, I think the other 6 need to be looking over their shoulders and certainly looking in the mirror.

Other than down the pan. This team was saved last season by a powerful reserve with a big tub of polyfilla , but our management seemed to be hoping for the same. Was hoping to see Richie become another Kenni L. but alas he moved on. But he had made his Polish intentions clear by mid season, so some forward thinking might have been nice. I wonder where we were leaning prior to the intro of Anton.

Panthers taken by the Comets tonight-not sure how good this team really is-but I suppose on home shale- Robbo and Ludo will have ridden the track, but our other five? God help us. From a league coverage viewpoint, I hope both teams can put on a good even show for the cameras.

Steen is certainly living up to pre-season expectations, what a fantastic rider to watch.

Guess he looks good racing against a poor team. Didn't look so good against Edinburgh!

Newcastle have had good teams the past few seasons but Lindgren at number one says it all. Lucky if he's a third heat leader never mind a number one! Also Kerr now in the team and not at reserve is being found out.

Changes have to be made to the Newcastle team but what?

How well does Kauko Nieminen ride Brough? (Or Magnus Karlsson?)

Loves riding Brough, but admits himself he doesn't normally score well round there.

Poor performance from all 7 Diamonds in the first 7 heats, when they could not get out of the blocks. Every heat, bar when Kerr jumped the start, it was two banks of two with both Diamonds at the back by about 5 metres. At Berwick you can't pass at the best of times, and it was very processional so when you don't gate, you get beat. How, or why, it changed I don't know, but Christian, after two bad gates, shot out in heat 8 and hung on for the win. That seemed like the corner had turned until heat 13, when Doolan and Vissing got the better of Ludde on the first band and second bend and that was it.

Plenty of talk of changes, but it seemed like it was everybody but Robbo, who is back to his imperial best especially on the TR in heat 12 and heat 15 when he swept round decent opponents, who had a bit of a natter and a bit of elbows after the race. Not nice to see, and the first two pairings of the Bandits look as if both need changing.

I don't think the Diamonds racing was at fault, but their pre heat 8 gating really was juvenile standard. Not good enough. Berwick were solid all night with some very good riding, but we weren't in some of those races unfortunately.

If the team gates in future meetings, I don't think there is that much of a problem and things will sorts themselves but if they repeat last night's gating we will be in a little bother.

Pity about the Newcastle calloff due to a waterlogged track, but I honestly think we would have done to them what they did to us last night. Perhaps having the break before Tuesday will give them all time to reflect on their individual fortunes from last night.

Berwick is one of the best race tracks in World Speedway, according to some. How very dare you come on here and tell us the racing was processional, that isn't allowed....👍.

Karlsson riding and scoring well in Poland on sundays, he wont be at Newcastle.

Ahh didn't know that, thanks though :t:

Is he worth a look in then if current situations don't improve, think he has a 7.25 average or will it have decreased since he left Leicester at the end of last year

How well does Max Dilger (even though he is an ex-bear :P ) or Facundo Albin ride at Brough?

not as well as any present,,, think Albin would be another 'Schrammbo', plenty of effort and not enough reward for it :-)

Ahh well, I'm trying to find a rider that would be a good enough replacement for Schramm but has an average of 4.5 or lower

Stefan Nielsen, Lee Smart, Klaus Jakobsen?
