Birmingham V Poole Ela 23/4/14

WIMPS? Only say that because Poole waded through a swamp in the midst of a monsoon when it suited them lol.

They're still doing the 50/50 draw....£97 to the winner!!

The bloke next to the mic's just phoned his mum to say its off..

Ticket 0507 wins probably the last ticket sold ( starting from 0313 )

These streams are so informative

I bet Steve Brum won it!! Or wouldn't he have bought a ticket??!! :D

.....manchesterpaul.......just be careful that you don't go clicking on any "you need to update/download latest whatever to play the video"........

Interesting. I didn't see this post before but I thought I'd try that link tonight hoping it would be a bit bigger picture than bet365. However, when that came up I decided against bothering. Thanks for the warning as I'm going to delete the link from my bookmarks now.

Oh well maybe Birmingham will be in winning form for the rearranged fixture!

You're welcome, i was going to post some of the scary reports too. Got to admit i don't like it when people say i used it and nothing happened, whole point of trojans etc is they can lie in wait undetected for a while.

No but this is twice they have called meetings off just before the start this season. In my opinion it seems all of us on the forum can read a weather forecast apart from the Brummies management.

The forecast was indifferent to say the least from many sources. Up until 7:10 it wasn't too bad.

The promotion were slated the last time this happened, at least this time they waited until the very last minute.

If fans can read a weather forecast, they can make their own minds up whether to travel. I myself went and was fully prepared to do the updates and remained hopeful with about 20 mins to go.

Thems the risks you run with Speedway I'm afraid.

Re-admission tickets will be able to be used so all is not lost.

It's the damned if you do and damned if you don't scenario again. I don't blame them for trying to get it on. People have access to the forecasts, if they want to chance it that's up to them! Some you win, some you don't.... :)

Well I looked at the forecast this morning and thought it too risky to make the trip and at 4 pm was watching a huge lump of rain move towards Brum on the radar, so I knew I had made the right call. Frustrating to the Poole fans that made the trip but it was never going to clear in time.

Heard the interviews on the radio and Brum are looking to strengthen. Good for them we don't need whipping boys in the league. Even the team finishing bottom needs to be competitive at home.

More like SteveBrum and Gavan ;)

I see your post was liked by Statler and Waldorf or any pair of Muppets. :t:

No idea why you feel a need to mock at someone who doesn't bet. Must be the Poole thing.

Birmingham Speedway is a joke right now. 2 new families i know of went along tonight for there first ever sighting of Speedway. A bit of rain before the meeting started and then light and consistent till it was announced at 7.40 that it was `too dangerous`. Get real!! Stopped raining at 8.30PM so track work could have been done. Surface water on track but no pools of water on the corners. They even watered the track knowing rain was due! AMATEURS. You don't deserve any new fans if this is how you treat them. LIVID!

As I've said on Facebook I don't think the majority of fans would want to hang around waiting until the rain stopped at 8.30pm and then watch track work taking place in the hope the match could go ahead. Otherwise you make some good points - it was stupid to water the track beforehand.

Edited to put the quote in.
