lucifer sam
Shades of Max Clifford here. After the Ben Powell/Kenni Larsen incident a few years ago, I and many others, praised Rob and Scunny for the prompt and appropriate action again Ben Powell, who was subsequently banned and fined from British Speedway. I am not surprised the both Rob and Dave P are staying out of this, as I think they are both very fair and honest guys in my opinion, and will take possibly be dealing with this in private in their own way. Enter Rob (Lucifer Sam) Because I was answering a question that you'd posed. As I've already said, I wasn't there on the night. All I could do is to check what happened and then write it up in the match report. All I've done is re-state what's in that match report, after your questions. Seems that's the wrong thing to do, as well. Oh well. Tsunami, next time, I'll just ignore you. (That's the end of my third and final post on this thread, unlike the countless ones of Tsunami. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black). All the best Rob EDIT: And to clarify The Abbot's subsequent post, yes it was something I was told. But there are certain people I know I can trust. If they have told me something happened, then it did. Edited April 23, 2014 by lucifer sam
StevePark
Which didn't actually happen, as the chain got jammed in the sprocket. Get it. I wasn't there myself on Sunday night, but I spoke to Dave Peet around 30 minutes after the conclusion of the meeting. He didn't want to go into print saying much about the referee's decisions in the meeting, simply to say he felt several of them were "questionable". However, he did confirm to me what happened to Thomas, with the chain getting caught up. That did happen. All the best Rob That is what you were told happened. EC Rides Again
Wow ! For a "meaningless" LC match this has created no end of controversy. I look forward to the PL matches later in the year.

Well I was - and EVERYTHING stated on here by Tsunami, Arson Fire, etc. and myself is TRUE. WE KNOW WHAT WE SAW!!! I am sorry - you are wrong in this instance. Whoever told you what happened fed you incorrect information. You, of course, are free to believe what you like. Personally - I like to believe the TRUTH!!! HadrianDog
It seems ironic that, when accused of dangerous and wilful disrespect for parking a bike on one of the racing lines, and elbowing opponents right from the start of a race, that it has conveniently changed now to the problems of it being a technical track. Nice conveniently "let's change the subject" to get off the issues in question, and in doing so give the opportunity for some Redcar fans to have a go at 'Rough' Park(sic). Anybody remember last year at Redcar with the 1 1/4 hour wait one week, followed by the 1 hour wait for the meeting starts, while they relayed the whole track. Some irony that. Not sufficient to jam the wheel, and stop the bike being pushed with ease. FACT. The mechanic proved that. Could have just quoted you, but I was there for that b.....-up and totally concur. Mike.Butler
No matches are 'meaningless'...the riders are there to score points to get paid. Stuart Robson was worth the admission money on his own. Also, thanx to the Newcastle promotion for the promotional £12 entry for the football ground-hoppers. Much appreciated by all and some were at their first meeting ever, so you never know one or two may return to their local track.
