stevehone
Unfortunately the handful of throttle blast round the outside doesn't work as well as it used to bad news for Chris and speedway fans as a whole (good news for Martin Smolinski) i thought Smolinski did well to come from last to first in the GP final .. obviously SOME can make things work

Steve0
If everyone else had hugged the white line on the last lap he would have finished stone last ! That's a bit unfair as in several races he also tried mid track and out wide - for a change!
Fromafar
If everyone else had hugged the white line on the last lap he would have finished stone last !Smolinski used his brain instead of his throttle hand, the rest weren't that smart
Coventry_Bee
Not too worried about Hans yet because he has been riding with an injury, but he doesn't seem to be so sharp away from the tapes at the moment like he used to be. That's because now he is riding for us he has decided to keep still at the start. !!
MrwulfAndrew
Part of being a great sportsman is being able to ignore stick from the fans. I doubt Ronaldo looks on twitter and forums and gets wound up by what people say. Speedway riders and promoters dont seem to deal with opinions very well. Those in more professional sports dont seem to get involved in forum and twitter wars like those involved with speedway.
ghostie
Disgusted? Get up and give it a go yourself if you can do better. In fair when it comes to Harris I have to say Coventry fan are fickle, I think you have let the fans down. There you go my honest opinion. Not nice is it. You wonder why he blocked you? Idiot. What a complete jerk you are. The guy earns a good living from speedway. Supporters have a right to an opinion. If you don't like it tuff rubbishe
mdmc82
Chris looked more in the mix yesterday. His heads in the right place and making the right moves, he just needs bit more speed in the engines

Bomber is back.

His heads in the right place and making the right moves, he just needs bit more speed in the engines So basically, something else's fault yet again. As far as I'm aware, he's running the PJR's like KK, Ward, Holder & Woffy. Woffy admits he's struggling, Harris says it's his engines. Holder makes a semi, KK and Ward finish 1-2. Guess the engine tuner is spending more time on some riders engines than the others which is clearly what Tai was saying last night. Just cos they have the same tuner doesn't mean he treats them the same so in this instance it might not be down to the rider.

I think he is blaming himself there!
kingbee
I think Harris wants to stick to league racing he is not cutting it in the GP and never will
E I Addio
What a complete jerk you are. The guy earns a good living from speedway. Supporters have a right to an opinion. If you don't like it tuff rubbishe Your previous post ended with the words "What do you all think ?" Well, Marmite told you what he thought and because he didn't agree with you, you are now calling him a complete jerk. By the same token, maybe Bomber doesn't agree with your opinion and thinks you are a jerk. Maybe that's why he blocked you. What's good for one is good for the other. If you don't like peoples opinions you shouldn't ask what they think. Bomber never asked what you thought.
SPEEDY69
Guess the engine tuner is spending more time on some riders engines than the others which is clearly what Tai was saying last night. Just cos they have the same tuner doesn't mean he treats them the same so in this instance it might not be down to the rider. The power generated by the engine is only one component of the bike setup. A rider who can get his whole bike set up well and make starts can win races on a standard engine from the manufacturer. Woz01
I think Harris wants to stick to league racing he is not cutting it in the GP and never will I agree with that although he was World number 6 in 2010. Riders can all of a sudden find the right set up and be international class, look at Smolinski for example. Harris does have the talent but his set up hasnt been right for a few years now. Also reading the speedway star I found it interesting that he was in the EL top 20 averages, boosted by bonus points though.

Don't think Martin was as quick last night without his magic ignition button on his handlebars though. What is all that about?.
Steve0
Don't think Martin was as quick last night without his magic ignition button on his handlebars though. What is all that about?. I don't think it was used in NZ - I thought I heard them say he tried to use it for the first time in Poland. Also, he did well enough to make the semis - who'd have thought?! kitten2502
I don't think it was used in NZ - I thought I heard them say he tried to use it for the first time in Poland. Also, he did well enough to make the semis - who'd have thought?! From what I've read he was advised to disable/remove it in NZ which he did - to avoid any complaints/protests. His performances have NOT surprised me in the slightest (although I wasn't expecting the final win in NZ).
