Crazy robin
Scraped through at the expense of Kennett. But no doubt will get a 'wild'card pick...... That'll teach me to wait till the last heat.
mdmc82
great to have Harris & Nicholls through Will King and Barker start scoring points for Birmingham now? the person i am most happy to see get through though is Adam Roynon. After all the injuries he has had, its great to see him riding well and with confidence.
Triple.H.
Is it the top 8 from each semi or the top 7 and 2 wild card picks to the final? Maybe we can give Robert Lambert a wild card!!Maybe he'd turn it down as many have said on other topics that he's apparently pants at Wolves
SPEEDY69
Brummies and aces fans must be both pleased but puzzled how barker, king and cook can do so well in this individual event - others as per form book. Wonder if wild cards will be newman and kennett, unless something happens before/in the other semi.
waiheke1
Would much rather see lambert offerred a wild card than Kennett
mdmc82
Would much rather see lambert offerred a wild card than Kennett not if lambert doesn't want to ride for Britain, I wouldn't
emilali
Please god do not give Kennet a wild card. Hes proven hes never going to amount to a decent rider so give it to someone else.
Arson fire
There shouldn't be bloody wildcards!!... Earn a place on merit
Falcon Hammer
Eddie Kennett should get the Wild Card as he earnt it on merit by finishing 8th
Woz01
Sounds like quite a ride from Bomber in his last ride to qualify although he should be making it a bit easier
SCB
Unless theres a bloody good reason, the wildcards should go to 8th place in each meeting.
Cue Ball
Sounds like quite a ride from Bomber in his last ride to qualify although he should be making it a bit easier The boy has got big balls, I'll give him that!! He knew he had to win to get through and the gap he went through on the outside of Cook was minuscule (or so it looked from where I was standing)
DIAMONDS
Why didn't Robson come out on his last ride, did he just give the chance to young Greaves or was there a problem?
Hel'n'Back
It was announced that both Robson and Howarth had run out of machinery so they couldn't take their final rides
DIAMONDS
It was announced that both Robson and Howarth had run out of machinery so they couldn't take their final rides That's surprising from Robson he normally has perfect machinery. Shame for him then. How did Robson and Kerr ride?
waiheke1
Unless theres a bloody good reason, the wildcards should go to 8th place in each meeting. Is edward kennett getting 8th classed as a bloody good reason?
Gavan
I'm no fan if Kennett but in the last few years he has often made the final in the British Final and he goes well at Wolves so would add something to the meeting. To be fair I don't understand why there is wildcards never used to be. I remember Mark Loram trying to ride at Ipswich in a semi with a broken collarbone he didn't get seeded! 8th place is a good enough reason to get a wildcard. Thing it does show is how much of a plank Middlo was to pick him in the World Cup last year!
Cue Ball
Didn't the wild cards come in as a consequence of a rain curtailed meeting at Sheffield when Tai didn't make the top 8 after 12 heats. That was too much of a travesty and so they had to come up with a contingency to make sure the top riders made it through in the event they weren't quite good enough to make it on their own merit
TesarRacing
Sounds like quite a ride from Bomber in his last ride to qualify although he should be making it a bit easier Yes indeed. Can't be much wrong with Bombers machinery if he is able to ride like he did in his last heat!
geepeeargh
That's surprising from Robson he normally has perfect machinery. Shame for him then. How did Robson and Kerr ride? Stuart shed a chain on the parade lap, was a poor third behind Harris & Wright, then passed and re-passed Compton behind Cook in his second ride. Fell in third place in his 3rd ride and retired from the back in his fourth. Not a good night for Stuart. Lewis was great when he gated, pants if he didn't.
