Super Blue
Well, how bad was that ! The Witches totally forgot how to gate and ride their own track. Well done to Peterborough they took full advantage and thoroughly deserved the win.
LagutaRacingFan
1. Ryan Fisher 2. Lewis Blackbird 3. Ales Dryml 4. Ulrich Oostergaard 5. Lasse Bjerre That Top 5 is going to score 50+ at Foxhall, the Witches fans are going to be left in a desolate state. Our top 5 proved today why they are the most feared in world speedway and that was with Fisher and Dryml not being at their usual high standards, Torun's top 5 might have a better reputation but I certainly wouldn't swap it for this current Panthers five. Are you coming to Foxhall to see your wonderful top five dominate the Witches? Children get free admission if accompanied by an adult. I did and I watched our wonderful top dive dominate the Witches from start to finish, The Witches were only delaying the inevitable early on and looking at my programme , I couldn't see a single heat where the Witches were stronger. Like I said earlier, This was an Elite League club riding against a Premier League club and it showed, Not the best meeting by a long mile but a very healthy crowd I must say (2000+ certainly) but sadly for them, the majority went home disappointed after watching a dominating Panthers display. Hope the Witches enjoy tonight, We could even race up to 60. Edited April 18, 2014 by KingKennyBjerre
ColinMills
excuse me???? you came on this site and clearly wanting to have a pop at me??..i made not a single comment about you did i?....im not a witches fan, i didnt even go!...if you wanna pop at a so called witches fan, i suggest you take a look at racing jason (whoever he is), and bezza (same)..i read there quotes today and it shows there true colours...both were going to boro, but as the team got stuffed, they both not going...with "fans" like that, who need enemies!! Emma T
Morten was poor today yet Leigh lanham was man of the match last night at Sheffield. Nuff said Thing is Lanham would be scoring 6,7,8's every meeting, which is what is needed, not 12 one week and 3 the next. Both these statements do seem to be correct - Morten scores well = Ipswich will win, scores badly = lose! With Leigh we knew what to expect in nearly every meeting both home and away! CardinalSin
Colin Mills give it a bloody rest will you. The only input you EVER have on Ipswich threads, is negative and to take sly pot shots at the Ipswich management. Do one!

CardinalSin
Can we still make excuse for Cameron wrist injury? He himself has said it's healed and pain freeThen he's clearly not telling the truth. He himself, said only last week at an away track that the track conditions were causing him problems with the wrist. What on earth happened with the winter operation that was supposed to cure the problem? He felt the wrist last year again by his own admission, but it wasn't a major problem. He went from reserve, to scoring well in the difficult number 2 berth and was tipped by many to challenge for the number 1 race jacket this year. He had an operation in the winter to try and cure the wrist problem, and seems to be in far worse shape for it! Anyone watching him in the pits during the meeting can clearly see the lad is suffering with the wrist and something needs to be done ASAP. Halifaxtiger
Terrible meeting, Witches were awful & racing was rubbish. Shame such a good crowd & nothing to entice them back on a Thursday night. Congratulations to Peterborough who fully deserved all the points. I think that's fair summary. Came out covered in dust and there was an awful blue line on the first two bends. Its a real shame, too, because there was a massive crowd (and I was informed that the one at EOES was well above normal) some of whom might just have come back if the racing had been good and Ipswich had won. Witches really missed Worrall and, in particular, Ellis as Mills only won heat 2 because he got a flier at the start and otherwise was nowhere near as good. Risager and Heeps were poor and although they improved a bit at Peterborough that's not enough. You can see why the Panthers are one of the favourites for the PL. The top four are all doing a job and the bottom three were all impressive yesterday. I am still wondering how Mick Bates excluded Greenwood in heat 2 to at EOES. There was clear contact between him and Hawkins. are they on you checklist to take? Big coat Scarf Flask of soup Tartan blanket Werthers Originals LOL see ya later old man! That might not have been in earnest but anyone who failed to follow that advice paid for it. That wind was bloody freezing ! It was a bit tongue in cheek. When the sun was out it was lovely but as soon as the cloud rolled in it was indeed like the arctic! One last comment re the meeting/s - special mention for Blackbird who IMO was rider of the day.
Panthers89
Absolutely stunning result, never expected that, and all the Panthers performed very well. But come on Louis and Co, what was up with that track? Blue groove after heat 8, was shocking, counted around 4 genuine passes. Still 4 points at Ippo, guarantee no one will do that again this season.

Still 4 points at Ippo, guarantee no one will do that again this season. The track has been awful this season and I've said this a few times already this year, there's very little material on it and the racing is suffering badly. Anyone can see that there's nothing wrong with the track shape now that it's been widened regardless of what an earlier poster said on here. We've seen some terrific speedway the last few years post track changes, but it has to be said that the "racing" this year has been garbage. Apparently the wet winter we had prevented the banking being built up. There is also apparently a load of shale being delivered in the coming weeks. The Ipswich promotion seriously need to get a move on with that before the die hards start walking away too as the regular Thursday night attendances have been a little disappointing. Nobody likes seeing their team losing at home, but if you're beaten but witness a good nights racing in the process, then fans go home relatively happy to an extent. A defeat coupled with awful racing is a disaster.

A defeat coupled with awful racing is a disaster. Cant disagree with any of that. Only Ully managed a move around the outside on bends 3/4, the rest just lost ground, we were fence crawling, you guys were curb crawling. Hope they get the track sorted, as with the grandstand on the back straight, and the food huts on bends 1+2, it has improved greatly since my last visit. Just need the track to match. Maybe being an Ipswich/Mildenhall asset we missed a trick there? Very easy to say in hindsight of course. Maybe next year.
Racin Jason 72
Only after seeing how good Lewis rode in both meetings perhaps we should have had him in the team instead of Adam. This is no slight on Adam but Lewis is a asset and would ride every meeting. Hindsight is wonderful !!

But yes I've got to admit the lad is currently doing better than I expected and long may it continue.
