Forecast looks perfect now, prediction of light showers has gone.

The meeting needs to run tonight so will be on, I guess, but can't see anything other than perfect conditions anyway.

I think the revised lineup is much stronger too.

Bridger will get in there and mix things up!!!!

BERWICK'S David Bellego has been called into the line-up for tonight's Grand Prix qualifier at Shielfield Park.

The Bandits rider takes the place of Mathieu Tresarrieu who is ruled out due to injury. Reserve berths are taken by Kyle Howarth and Liam Carr.

Weather conditions have been very good during the day, with no rain. The meeting gets underway at 7.30pm.

Taken from BSPA site.

This meeting just keeps getting stronger. :o

So instead of bypassing the smaller federations and parachuting a Brit into the line-up (as per the Chris Harris GP Challenge saga last year), they've done it by the book. Tough on Howarth, who it was reported would take his place in the meeting, but much fairer.

True, but with Bellego being only a few hundred yards from Shielfield, and the Berwick meeting being off at Glasgow did help somewhat.

Last weather update, still bright and dry all day if a bit cloudy. Looking forward to this meeting and seeing top riders attacking the Berwick track. Should be a cracker, after the nonsense of Saturday its just great to know we are going to get a meeting.

Makes sense to replace a Frenchman with another Frenchman anyway. French federation maybe had some sort of involvement in the decision?

Cook, Bridger and Harris 8th, 9th and 10th respectively. All go through (top 10 qualify) with 8 points, with Harris' last ride 3rd over Suchanek proving decisive. Lawson's 3 points only good enough for 14th place, so he is out.

It is the EL league sides that are coming off the worst it in. It would be such a shame With the posibility of 7 riders missing from one race. They will be very hard going for the teams to cover these places. It just goes to show just how stupid speedway is becoming.

Nothing really special though from the British lads/ Even in a qualifier as this the best could only manage 7th. What we needs is British lads coming 123 and 4. But I think we are a long way of even getting close to that. Hope some of these young lads riding in the EL now can come good in the next few years and make us a top speedway nation again.

Does this mean riders missing for EL now on the 20th June?

Coventry V Poole (No Hans, Harris, Magic, Shamak, Milik) - (No garrity or maybe Josh already)

Lakeside V Kings Lynn (No Bjerre, Bridger,)

The next meetings are on Saturday 21st in Poland and Croatia.

Hopefully, the riders will be able to fly out on Saturday morning but its a big ask.

It would be a real shame if this meeting, one of the highlights of the season, turns into a watered-down farce.

Surprised this hasn't been allocated as a Sky meeting. Sky have no meeting scheduled for w/c 23rd June. Perhaps we can hope this will be televised on Sky instead and moved to the Monday.
