abbo
I predict that Hans will not make it on Monday, he limped away out of the pits on his way to Poland, then expected to be back on Monday to take on Holder etc, on his own admission he failed to consult a Doctor over his knee problems in case they find something seriously wrong us not the way to take on Poole. Time he was seen by medical staff so Coventry can support their appearance on Sky for first time thus season, time for temporary replacement methinks before Monday's meeting.

Hard to believe a professional like Hans would not see a specialist the very next day. He would be wise to give Poland a miss and sort out the injury... philfromcov
think the track is a bit of a smokescreen, only heat one did we look good enough and then the thought was iversen wont be that bad again. after heat two it was obvious we were going to struggle, unfortunately its the same old same old no home heat leaders equals defeat simples i think the new format will take some getting used to. mid meeting i thought i was watching coventry storm, its very apparent how weak the league has become Edited April 12, 2014 by philfromcov
semion
Great win for The Stars. Rather mixed fortunes for Team Lewis. Still think there is massive improvement to come in this Stars Team. Lambert has his first scalps in Elite League Speedway, with I'm sure many more to come.

I think he might try and ride again reading into the Bees website...“Hans’s knee is playing up but he says he will be okay, he is racing on Sunday in Poland and he wants to ride at Poole on Monday.” Can't afford 4 points on Monday from Hans, he needs to be fit or be replaced with a guest.
tellboy
I must be getting immune and able to completely ignore everything because I never heard him say that. He is getting on a bit now though so you have to make allowances. Bet you're glad you went in the end. Yes we will let him off,my daughter found it amusing every time he said it though. Haven't been to Brandon for probably 15 years at least, and after the first 2 heats I was thinking I won't be back for another 15 years. But the racing wasn't that bad really. Think I may have seen you before the meeting but didn't introduce myself as you were talking to people. It would have been rude just to push in on people and introduce myself.Maybe next time. mdmc82
Hope we get a guest for Hans on Monday as we need to be as strong as possible against Poole Hans needs to get his knee looked at before he makes it worse
Yikes
Glad to finally see an Elite meeting be run at Brandon. Roger Lambert had a cracking night Haha - Yorkie, hang up that microphone - please. Track not great but a massive improvement to what was dished up at the first Storm meeting. Outside line never attempted by Harris, he looked more like Smolinski plugging away on the inside to pass people. Maybe it will be better for next one, the banking should make for good racing at track improves. Great to hear David Hammond back again this year after being brought back mid way through last year but the rest of the presentation was rubbish, big silent pauses, what's changed this year. Not heard the National anthem played at a speedway meeting at Brandon for about 15 years, except for perhaps the World Cup or Grand Prix. Team - still early days but some good signs. Some not so - Hans clearly struggled with injury.
kingbee
He beat Bjerre (twice) and Schlein two of the three heatleaders and didnt lose to the 2nd strings, done his job.every body beat Bjerre

Woz01
every body beat Bjerre Not the point, his job is to beat other heat leaders and not to be beaten by 2nd strings he did that. Bomber still has the 2 highest away scores riding at 5 ( 1 Bees and 1 guest appearance) so in fact he has started the season better than most other number 5s. No it wouldn't, as long as you got the right person. I was with a Border Collie but there were a few others there as well that I saw on my travels - Taffy who belongs to Rory Schlien, Edward the Golden Retriever, a Staffie and a Brown Mastiff type. Shame we didn't get to meet but hopefully there will be another time. We'll no doubt be coming to Kings Lynn sometime too this season because they allow dogs. Glad you enjoyed your visit and I'm sure the result. ......Yikes..... Agree about the presentation though with all the silent pauses - not good. I don't know what the idea is with the National Anthem after all these years but I'm not standing up anyway. Trees
Poor old Bomber, you're laying into him something rotten, I hope he can get sorted and shut you all up ;-) Up the Stars!!!!
Bee 26
A better test will be next Friday as Leicester don't have such a top heavy three like Kings Lynn Hopefully the track will have more dirt and Harris can muster his first win
Brandon
First home meeting this year and whilst disappointed with the result there was enough to suggest the Bees will have a decent year. Kings Lynn certainly look impressive. With a true No.1 and 2 solid heat leaders as back up (KB will improve) they will always be hard to beat. Really impressed with Lambert and Porsing who defied their age and averages. Kerr proved a trump card at reserve also. As for the Bees. Anderson was struggling, he needs to rest the injury or risk prolonging it or making it worse. A guest should be booked for Monday. Harris seemed to gate ok but lacked speed. I know the track wasn't to his liking but a rider of his quality should be able to ride any track. He's in a tough position at 5 but the teams success will rely on him upping his game going forward. Hansen and Fish rode well. Fish has made a good start to the season whilst there's more to come from Hansen as he settles in. Claus did his job as a guest too. Sarj was struggling for speed but Garrity justified his inclusion with a decent return. All in all once the team has rode a couple more meetings and the injuries have cleared up I feel the Bees will win more than they loose. Ref the presentation and stadium. I thought the inclusion of the national anthem was good, throw back to the old days. Glad the monster truck has gone, fed up with them not being able to start it anyway. And the stadium look good, plenty of advertising, no weeds and a buzzing improved track shop. For me the only improvements needed are a DJ (Bart) with the pre start tunes and a younger more vibrant presenter. Roll on the Wooly backs next week

Dave Jones
Look just admit you are a big Bomber fan and will not listen to criticism against him Of course, it could also be a case that some bees fans just can't wait to" stick the knife in" where bomber is concerned.
CB252
Yep, when it didn't mean anything. Presume it meant something to Schlein, since he need to finish ahead of one of the Bees to win KL an extra point? Can't handle pressure Yet he has three EL titles to his CV, which is more than any Lynn rider. You've won nowt yet. Try and stay grounded. semion
Alan Hansen once said you win nothing with kids. Then again Ally McCloud said Scotland would win the World Cup. Can't trust a word these deep fired Mars bar eaters say. Lol
