Berwick V Glasgow (lc) Saturday, April 12th

Recommended Posts

No details can be released at present, but patrons at Shielfield for the visit of Glasgow Tigers will hear some very big news indeed.

Be sure to keep your ears pricked during racing -- this story, under embargo until after 7pm, will be of interest to all speedway-minded people!

Can you keep your legs crossed until after 7 tomorrow

Not sure where embargo is :P

I think its near Jeopardy isn't it ? . Seriously though this match and the return on Sunday have the look of a " Must Win " fixture ., the Bandits will be keen to get back to winning ways and I'm sure the Tigers will want to put a stop to their recent run of defeats .I think both fixtures will be home wins but will be fairly close

The 3rd benders are like me Scott... Will be found at Berwick matches wherever possible and able... I go cos I do enjoy the evening... The banter.. Any racing is a bonus (I'd rather spend my money there then in the town on a Saturday night )

I'm speaking about the home straight terracing... There is only so much those people will take...

But the home straight terracing is the grandstand???? Off to hide now before B4e batters me ;)

Had away, you know I party every week, pity a few more didn't join in. Never mind Paulco is here this weekend, he will have drunkm what the average guy drinks in a month, on his way from the station to the track. :drink::drink::drink::drink::drink:

Is that not a scandalous slur on my friend? There again nope, so Paulco won't sue, enjoy your racing guys

Even us ?

Only if they announce a free bar at all Berwick meetings ;)

Saturday has dawned cloudy and cool, forecast to stay that way for this morning, we may even get a sprinkle of rain. Afternoon is much better with the sun to come out and temperatures to rise, those going for a pint in the Leaping Salmon might even want to take their drinks outside and catch some rays.

There is always one who has to spoil the announcement. :D

This morning's e-mail Newsletter says:

Good news if there's cashflow problem, we can now accept payment at the turnstiles and (after 7pm) at the Track Shop by your Credit or Debit card. Patrons wishing to use a card at the turnstile should go to Gate No 1, which is the turnstile on your left as you approach from the car-park.

What is the weather forecast for Saturday ? should I wrap up?

It'll be freezing so as a Glaswegian a long sleeved t-shirt might - just might - be needed ;)

I have sought counselling, have the number for samara tins, so I think I am well covered.

I think I was at school with her...:rolleyes:

Score line looks a bit one sided, however there was once again lots of decent racing. Achilles heel for the Tigers was lack of heat winners, only 2 all night, they need to get Wolbert going, if they can do that there`s enough in the rest of the team that could surprise someone one day. First chance I`ve had to see Thomsen & Berge and was impressed with both, though why Berge had the hump with Jensen at the end of Ht8 I wouldn't know.

Bellego & Vissing were in a different world tonight, both riding to maximums and they were well supported by the rest of the team.

Bit of a tanking for Glasgow even with Doolan having an off night. Time for Wolbert to step up to the plate, been gash so far as a No 1, shades of Screen 2013!

Being No1 carries many responsibilities, and one of them is to be getting the points on the board for the team.

Just look at Cook, 14 or 15 points guaranteed and only another 30 needed from your team mates. (Of course there's not many Craig Cooks around).

If Wolbert doesn't do the business and get's replaced I wouldn't lose any sleep.

Racing was gate and go racing livened up in the final two, For the Bandits bellego and Visser were imperious Jensen was good value interesting style, should improve

Berge impressed me as did Anders Thomson again the rest awful with Wolbert setting the standard from the off.

He's capable of ripping Berwick to shreds tomorrow, but that's kev for you consistently inconsistent

I think your view of the speedway is a bit more accurate than Screm's 'decent racing' although heat 14 was a cracker.

I'd also agree with your comments about the riders.
