bigcatdiary
Oh dear, looks like reality has set in after a promising start to the season, perhaps the scribes got the team right after all.

Roll on OctoberAndrex for shadders taxi for lambert I'm consoling myself with an Indian takeaway, so the Andrex would be very handy for tomorrow Edited April 12, 2014 by Shadders
westhamboy66
Bunyan on a tac after scoring 2 lol great move mr sampford .......not.......over to you shadders : )Far be it for me to defend John "Mr Motivator" Sampford but...Rye were Not 12pts down until after heat 11 so could only use the second T/R in heat 12. That was their last opportunity and as the only programmed rider of the two rockets Bunyan had to take the T/R. Load of crap against again against a side who won't be near the Title this season. Lambert has to go immediately as does Garrity who clearly couldn't care less. Again only Bowen, Boxall and Kennett are worth a mention and a trip to Mildenhall for me next Sunday unless two signings are made, i can't lake another thumping from that mob up the road.
Dave Stummings
Indeed a taxi is required. Morley in for Lambert, can we bring in Ty Prictor for Garrity? Indeed a taxi is required. Triple.H.
I am sure your comment is tongue in cheek Triple. H. Sure he's fast, and he's definitely stylish, but there's a long way to go before he settles into that 'arm chair'.....Believe me for a 17 year old he pretty much puts this countries youngsters to shame.admittedly he didnt do mhch when he missed the gate but he had a nasty tumble beforehand. As for the Rockets IMO Lambert is too big to be a speedway rider and a small track like RyeHouse makes it very hard for him to manoeuvre quickly. Garrity I agree looked uninterested and didn't do the trackwalk with the rest of the team not very good for teamspirit. Thought Bowen was good value Boxall seemed to have bike problems and got well tucked up by Eddie K in ht15 heard lots of Rockets fans moaning Eddie K should be doing far better than he is. Bunyan and Matty T hit and miss averages only going one way. Indeed a taxi is required. Morley in for Lambert, can we bring in Ty Prictor for Garrity? Indeed a taxi is required. Morley in for Lambert, can we bring in Ty Prictor for Garrity? makes sense to bring Morley in though the real question is why wasnt he 1st choice to be number 7. He's good round RyeHouse and has plenty of improvement in him and afterall winning away can win you the league but winning at home is what keeps fans happy and turnstiles clicking. Shadders
I can only recall Len Silver releasing a rider mid season and that was Kurt Shields. The others, Frampton & Lambert included made the decision to pull the plug. Silver has a history of loyalty towards his riders, so it'll be Lamberts decision to step down I should think. Â Garrity is quite frankly a disgrace. Riding sub standard equipment, saving his best bikes for battles against the likes of Greenwood & Sarjeant in the EL circus. Tonight he was taking the pi$$. Only Luke, Edward & Steve can take any satisfaction from their performances. Jason Bunyan is racing with damaged ribs, so can be excuses to some extent. Â Can't believe that some posters were lauding this team as play off contenders. They look more like contenders for the wooden spoon. Â Don't see how replacing Lambert will improve things much. Who else is there to bring in? Another Kasper Lykke type? Gawd elp us!! Â Aspgren showed what we're missing. Huge mistake letting him leave, but once the decision was made to sign Kennett, Bowen & Boxall there was little option. Not long been in.Quite enjoyed the meeting.Few passes and the racing was pretty close.Plus seeing Lambert score naff all helped Bowen,Boxall and Kennett were good value.Love watching Boxall tbh, especially when he's chasing.Got stitched up by Kennett in the last.Deserved more points than what he got.Think there will need to be changes otherwise its going to be a long old season for Rye.  Nick Morris was very impressive as was Aspgren. Both Kurtz's had decent rides also.Solid performance all round really. Good to see you Shads.Hope the curry makes up for the result  Adz

Rayleigh
Gosh that was tough to take tonight but instead of ranting I would like to thank Bowen on his efforts tonight (how you only had 5 rides is amazing though), After all the injuries you have suffered, you more than anyone have good excuses for not delivering but it was you who put others to shame, thank you. Â Pontus also did well in scoring paid 14 whilst riding permanently with two fingers of the handlebars and B Kurtz looks the real deal, enjoy it Somerset fans we once had the pleasure of watching the development of a future world champion
Chris
First visit in a year and same old crap. Â Team was built all wrong before the season started. Have had to laugh at some suggesting a play off berth. This team will finish bottom. Â Lambert was comical and him coming back shows the ambition of Silver. The guy simply has no idea how to ride the track. Garrity is riding Boxalls old lawn mowers and Bunyan and Tressarieu are only going to continue going downhill. They bring nothing to a side. Â Side built on the cheap as Silver has done for many a year now. Shown up for the fool he is by not using Aspgren. He'll put a point on his average easy. Â Side should have been built around Kennett, Mellgren, Aspgren and Boxall this season. You then fill in the rest with young hungry talent like Brady Kurtz. I'll bet a lot of money dear old Len has never heard of the lad, but that is the difference with a club with ambition like Somerset. They will have contacts around the world/country looking at young, talented riders, while Len is happy to pay peanuts employing dross like Lambert, Tressarieu and Bunyan. Â Lambert and one of Bunyan or Tressarieu need to go now and the points used wisely. Garrity needs to be told to pull his socks up as well as he doesn't look interested. Ben91
I'd say Garrity's head isn't in it at all. He's doing ok for Coventry but he's racing NL standard riders in the main. Â Getting Luke in at reserve was a good move, he should have had Garrity there with him though. Would have helped JG after his injury last year and wins would bring his confidence/heart back. Â Glad I stayed home again. The 1-6 can be ok with a kick up the backside, Lambert is no good for us though and we have points to spare to replace him. Shadders
 Not at £40 a point surely. I don't know how much he earns riding for Coventry, but as he's only up against mainly NL class and the odd PL reserve that sounds about right. If imagine he'd be snapped up by another PL club if Silver decided he'd had enough and released him. Somewhere like Sheffield who could easily release someone like Taylor Poole and fit him in.
