maneacat
As there was no thread for this thought I would start one. I see we (Panthers) need a guest for Ryan Fisher (racing for Bees) - any suggestions (eligible and available would be useful)? Once this rider is confirmed it will be possible to forecast the outcome of this meeting - as its only Wednesday morning I expect that may take some time - maybe 48 hours before we are told if typical speedway procedure is followed. LagutaRacingFan
Richie Worrall seems like the best rider available... 1. Worrall 2. Blackbird 3. Dryml 4. Ulrich 5. Lasse That top 5 will be too much for the Rebels, An away win coming up! Edited April 9, 2014 by Hougaard Racing Fans
Crump99
I didn't even know that we were riding this week, if we were Elite then the mentalist would have had a thread running to a Norfolk fingers number of pages edit - Jeez, and just as I was tying it snook in! Simon Stead looks the best available to me. Edited April 9, 2014 by maneacat
LagutaRacingFan
A PL rider with an average of 9.52 or lower or an EL rider with an average of 5.71 or lower. Mikkel Michelsen - 5.00 Peter Ljung - 5.60 Simon Gustafsson - 5.17 Nicolai Klindt - 4.17 Ricky Wells - 5.35 There's plenty of good riders but If I had to pick one then It would be between Michelsen and Ljung as they would cover Fish Dog's scoring power. 1. Mikkel Michelsen 2. Lewis Blackbird 3. Ulrich Oostergaard 4. Ales Dryml 5. Lasse Bjerre What a top 5, All 5 of those riders would hold their own in the Grand Prix Series. One of your more sensible posts - this after the deomolition of Newcastle last week, has the potential to be a thrashing. Bjerre, Ostergaard and Summers are all so up and down at the OTA, and I don't expect Dryml to contribute too much. Throw in the 3 reserves and this should be pretty straight forward for Somerset.

The arrogance is astonishing, Do you not know who we are? We are the Peterborough Panthers.. We have won more Elite League titles in the last decade than Somerset have won in their entire history. Come Friday night, You and your fellow Somerset fans will be wishing that you hadn't upset the Dryml meister and Lasse "Pocket Rocket" Bjerre and just for your information, Ales Dryml was the European champion recently! Revised Prediction: Somerset Rebels 43-47 Peterborough Panthers Top Scorer: Lasse Bjerre - 13 points Edited April 9, 2014 by Hougaard Racing Fans
Crump99
only 4 posts thus far on one thread, the chimps gone part-time. I suspect Somesrset will be more interested in this than Peterborough, we're built for Tuesday!

oldtimer
My friend and I were going to give speedway a miss this year mainly due to 2 things Double point tacticals in the Play Offs being retained and the new choose two extra teams to play, this in our view made the League lack all credibility. Luckily for Somerset they should pick up some easy away points in their extra Plymouth fixture. The second thing was the double up riders Elite teams having priority. If you are having a team like Peterborough coming down you want to see, barring any injury, their number one not a guest. Things will only get worse when injury’s kick in. However we attended the opening match, and may occasionally go again, but have decided any matches we miss will be the matches where riders are missing due to other commitments. Ryan Fisher will be missing this Friday and Nick Morris will be riding for Swindon who are away the following two Fridays the 18th and 25th April. On the 18th Plymouth are the visitors, Ben Barkers Elite team have a match but I think as he is not their asset he can ride for Plymouth. Not sure about Kyle Newman whose Elite team are also in action that night. If the powers that be ever run speedway in a sensible fashion again we may return as regular attendees, but I’m not holding my breath. Having said all that, well done on another trophy and I hope the Rebels have a successful and injury free year. Apart from things already mentioned, we didn't like losing most of the riders we got to support from last year and would find it difficult not to cheer for Josh, Alex, Kyle etc when they visited instead of Olly and co. Enjoy the banter with other supporters, but can have a good chat and a laugh down my local pub, no petrol cost, free parking, don't have to buy a programme, don't have to pay to get in. Get so frustrated the way speedway is run, can do without the hassle, and plenty of other things to spend money on. May see you at Taunton? LagutaRacingFan
I'm sure Jepsen Jensen would have flown in for this meeting If he was given the call. The BSPA really need to sort out the rules regarding guests as The Panthers were severely limited on their options!
